A few blocks away is a baseball field just outside the entrance to the beach. I never thought of going there to watch birds. But to my pleasant surprise I saw dozens of Robins eating worms on the ball field!
This male was courting several females and was quite chatty ;D

My son Jason and I at spring training at the Padres/Mariners Peoria, Az. stadium. The Rangers were playing the Padres. 33 hits and 22 runs in this game, what a game. Unfortunately the Ranges lost.
Grapefruit League play is over and I know Cindy & I are both ready for Spring Training to begin!

First Day 2019. I'm young, getting paid to play baseball and on the Cards. Does it get any better? NOPE. No wonder I'm smiling
The first Oregon, California and Eastern Bly Turn of the spring logging campaign climbs out of Squaw Flat towards the West Switchback in May 1988. The area around OC&E's West Switchback was as great an amphitheater for trains as any in the west.
By the time this photo was recorded, Klamath County had constructed a fine paved road that went right by the West Switchback. In the 70s, the only access to this area was over unimproved dirt forest roads.
