A classic British seaside vista looking across the vibrant rooftops of Adventure Island toward the Southend Pier. Standing 36 meters tall, the City Wheel (opened in late 2022) is now a central landmark on the seafront, offering sweeping views as far as the London skyline on a clear day. Stretching 1.33 miles into the Thames Estuary, the pier behind it remains the longest pleasure pier in the world, a title it has held since the 19th century.

While soaring over Critter Ridge in Hocking County, Ohio, I spotted a beautiful scene that I had to share with you. On the left, a lush Eastern Redbud stood proudly, its heart-shaped green leaves creating a dense canopy. The sunlight filtered through the foliage, casting dappled shadows on the ground below. The vibrant green leaves were a testament to the tree’s health and vitality, adding a touch of freshness to the landscape.
To the right, a striking Red Maple displayed its deep crimson leaves, providing a stark contrast to the green of the Redbud. The maple’s leaves, with their classic lobed shape, shimmered in the sunlight, creating a fiery display that was both captivating and serene.
