he Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) is a bulbous flower known for its large, trumpet-shaped blooms in vibrant colors such as red, pink, white, and orange. It’s spring, but this year the winds have been relentless—blowing from the north or east, sharp and cold. Generation Z craves spring, warmth, closeness, and the chance to feel carefree. But their shoulders are heavy, and now there’s talk that the AMOC is weakening, and the weather in Northern Europe is turning rapidly colder. Another burden for Gen-Z to carry, on top of all the neglect left by their parents’ generation: polluted waterways, undrinkable water, and the earth itself choked with plastic. Microplastics are everywhere—inside fish, vegetables, the soil, and probably inside me too. What we need is closeness, warmth, and someone to talk to about everything, without feeling stupid or alone.

A feathered statue in the middle of a green ocean. In the silence of Montauban-de-Bretagne, every drop of dew seems to weigh heavy on the blades of grass. The Song Thrush remains motionless, its dark gaze piercing the morning mist in search of an invisible signal.
