After the fairy light, snow flocked, vintage glass muddle of Christmas and the lull that was New Year I have felt the need to brush away the cobwebs along with winter, reorganise and reorder our little nest and welcome in the coming spring.

A botanically papered chimney breast, floral accordion files, paperwhite bulbs in mismatched china, candy coloured pompoms, the 'massive' branch Toby carried home that we hung birds from, my fake felty fireplace, springtime cushions, stripey folders, salsa classes and daffodils are making my heart sing this week.

I was hoping to see another Cobra Clubtail today but was pleased to find this Springtime Darner almost as soon as I stepped into the woods. Thanks to PhotoFreak for the ID help. At first I thought this was a Swamp Darner but their thorax markings are blue. giffbeaton.com/darners.htm

I'm so happy because it's been a while that I couldn't be able to take a decent picture a Michelle! I still don't know if I like the extra eyelashes on her though...

SPRINGTIME SERENADE - Excelsior Springs, Missouri

The John Day area, is gorgeous year round, but the Cant ranch made for a beautiful spot on a stormy afternoon, in March 2007.

Early in Spring, the many ricefields around Novara are being filled with water before the sowing season. Water comes from the extensive and intricate web of small and large canals build through the centuries and still in use today (That black dog with the arched tail is my old Iole - You know her well by now).

Daughter and I went for a little drive on the 30th and these are a few of the thing s we captured on the disks....it was beautiful spring time weather for 219 miles then we hit a wall of snow and had to turn around .....but it was beautiful day and fun for all ....we started in North Pole Alaska and turned around at pull off before Fielding Lake area ..... we saw mountains.caribou, snow machines, old lodge, airplanes, skiers, hunters, and fresh falling snow and plenty of awesome sunshine

Hello guys,

I don´t know if you have noticed but the spring is coming :D! Last week I spend my vacation in Dresden - Germany and in Rostock - Germany. Both cities are so beautiful. I really like the old buildings in Dresden (Zwinger, Semper Opera, Frauenkirche,...), amazing architecture with a lot of interesting museums. First day we went to the right bank of the River Elbe, that´s where I took this photo.

Some more pictures are following of my trip to Dresden and Rostock! Stay tuned.

Greetings, Marcus
