Expect to have hope rekindled. Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways. The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again.

It's been a difficult week as schools 'closed' here. We still have at least 25 per cent of our children qualifying for care, but saying goodbye to the others in my class so suddenly, for maybe the rest of the year, was an emotional wrench.
After working all morning I couldn't resist heading back to the gorse again this afternoon. There were plenty of ladybirds again, and much more active than last weekend.
It was my first walk all week and the glorious colours in the sunshine were just what was needed!

Even though the oilseed is in bloom there are still no leaves on the tree at Michaelstone-y-Fedw between Cardiff and Newport.
The weather forecast says snow tomorrow, 3/25, in the area I live (NJ in USA)... However, I saw small flowers in a garden to tell us that spring is coming! Hopefully, tomorrow is last snow this season!

SORRY GUYS. i'm so incredibly busy with APs and schoolwork at the moment i haven't had time to upload my photos from spring break {this shoot and the rest of the butterfly ones} plus some rose shots and snapshots from my trip to nyc with victoria and claudia.
I had a planned shoot with lola today to palm springs. The weather here in so cal has been extremely unpredictable. One day it will be 90 degrees and another it will be raining. Well today just happened to be a rainy day. The weather forecast stated that palm springs would be clear of rain and around 80 degrees. I picked up lola and we took the 2 hour drive to the desert. When we arrive the weather looked worse then ever. Most of the skies were grey with clouds. I really wanted to go to palm springs to shoot the windmills off the 10 freeway but to my surprised they were covered in a haze. As i opened the door of my car it was almost blown off by the extreme wind. I would say it was at least 25 mph out there. I knew instantly i would not be able to use my light modifiers. Lighting proved to be extremely difficult. As cloudy as it was the light was bright but even. Lucky for me i have FP Sync as i was able to crank up the shutter speed and lower the ambient light. Everything was going pretty decent til my camera battery died. Sigh... I should really learn to check it more often. Even though the wind was tough to deal with and the weather was dreadful it was an extremely fun day.

This terraced formation is a small section of Mammoth Hot Springs at the Northern edge of Yellowstone National Park. If you view this from a distance, you'll really miss out on the amazing details in this spot.

Second test, 3 rolls. This camera apparently suffers a sticky second curtain resulting in the loss of half the rolls to overexposure... used cameras are wonderfull! xD
