Spring is making an appearance on this mornings frosty dog walk with Toby, a quick snap with my ever present Sony RX100iv. Before you shout what about Oscar, yes I have two dogs but 99% of you will not know that. What the hell it’s my story). Well Oscar had walk number one while Toby slept on and by the time I brought Oscar back I could attempt to wake Toby up. He’s a grumpy sod in his old age, well aren’t we all, but he doesn’t like being woke to early now and regardless of it being better for me to walk one dog at a time at the moment, forcing Toby out of his cosy nest is a dangerous business.

It's here! The search is over!
With the blooming of magnolias and azaleas, spring has spectacularly announced its arrival. Mud may make its appearance intermittantly over the next months, but it no longer dominates the surroundings.
It is May afterall.
Anne spotted this tiny spring peeper on a wire fence in the front yard.
Tiny thing, maybe 1"(2.4cm) in length.
It moved around from plant to plant.
Pseudacris crucifer
The tiny spring peeper is tan or light brown in colour with a darker X-shaped marking on the back. The largest peeper on record was a mere 3.7 centimetres long. The breeding call of this species is a single, loud, high-pitched peep repeated over and over. A full chorus can be deafening up close and can be heard over a kilometre away. In large choruses, peepers will also trill, advising other males to keep their distance.

It's spring in my garden in Sydney. Unfortunately, warm weather has caused the blossom not to last as long as it usually does.

Spring came to Japan.
Cherry blossoms begin to bloom in various parts of Japan.
Cherry blossoms began to bloom also in Tokyo.
The flower will open to a lot of kinds of cherry blossoms in April in March.
And, the Japanese feels the thing that spring comes by enjoying cherry blossoms by love.
