pas très loin d'ici ...

Sorry another one I do like them :)

I warned everyone, now here is a long series on the spring snowflakes.

Found them along the edges of the bog called Langer Filz, along the creek called Lindenbach. In the nature reserve, called Murnauer Moos, Bavaria, Germany.

LA: Leucojum vernum

EN: Spring Snowflake

DE: Frühlings-Knotenblume / Märzenbecher

HU: Tavaszi tőzike

The spring snowflakes are becoming rare in the wild in Germany and in many countries due to the fact that their preferred living place: wetlands, mires, swamps, floodplain forests are disappearing.

In Germany it is a strongly protected plant, already on the Red List of endangered plants.

Another factor that "helped" the plant to get onto the Red List is the collectors who had been digging them up for sale or for their own gardens.

Typical of the plant is that 1-2 flowers can be seen per stem and the white petals have an orange, yellow or green spot.

The entire plant is poisonous.

Spring is in there somewhere! Little by little the snow is continuing to melt. The Crocus in my back yard are doing their best to bloom through the snow.

Used Photoshop to apply highlights.

Cures most winter woes, cheers 🍻

“It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.”

Quote ― Rainer Maria Rilke

“It's spring fever.

That is what the name of it is.

And when you've got it, you want ... oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”

Or, uhh, flare. I went all "JJ Abrams" here, placing the sun in the corner of the frame. Thought it to be a nice look, streaming in on the fresh foliage. YMMV.

Goeree Overflakkee.

Spring means camellias! There are so many sizes and textures - I love the simple, waxy petals.

Spring over Throop

This is my latest competition entry! This is one of two featuring the swan I have sent in, also sent in the butterfly, and the wide panorama of Chapmans pool, It kinda felt morning-like and clean, and the point of the competition was to show how nice the west country is looking, even after all of our recent storms!

This one became my favorite after the long deliberation between me and my friends, all of whom have seen great in their opinions and thoughts on the original 6 I put out to them to help me choose from. So BIG thank you's to all who involved themselves !! and thanks to Dorset Landscapes as well for bringing the competition to my attention! :D

one of my very few spring shots this

session

Spring 2022. It's damp, early, chilly on working days, and incredibly bright and warm on weekends. A room that surpasses all expectations. Wonderful view from the window, nice neighbors and faith in something good in the future. For the photo, I thank my very recently purchased "helios", which amazes me with its vision to this day.

Traditionally, in spring I go looking for Spring Crocuses and Snowdrops.

Fun to do, but also not easy to get a decent picture of them with a nice point of view and background.

Camera low above the ground and made use of the tiltable screen of the DC-G9, handheld.

love these splashes of colour in the spring
