Happy Friday, everyone. Had a great week with the grandkids (& their parents)--then our home internet went on the fritz. After five days of dealing with call centers, trying to get service, it pays off to have a high school friend who works locally with the internet provider!

More flowers from my garden, where we've had another cold spell, at last warming up a little. This is my lone Cowslip – I'm sure I used to have more, but this seems the only survivor.

If spring came but once in a century, instead of once a year, or burst forth with the sound of an earthquake, and not in silence, what wonder and expectation there would be in all hearts to behold the miraculous change!" ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

And more Leucojum, taken not in the dark but twilight, as I ventured out after a day of solid rain to top up the bird feeder. All the tiny raindrops on the petals look quite jewel like.

Helleborus niger

My view of Old Rag Mountain (Shenandoah National Park in the state of VA, USA) on an absolutely beautiful spring day.

An old picture from this spring, when the days were getting longer and warmer. Ended up in Lapinlahti to observe beautiful sunset.

Spring is Near

Glad to be stuck at home during spring and not winter. There’s a little silver lining.

“I'm in full Spring mode!

I hope that this "mental nonsense" will pass quickly, I see beauty in anything, I see flowers everywhere, they are all beautiful, from any angle I would take a picture of them, I think it is something worrying, just like when you are young and it seems that there are no problems in sight... that's how I am now, in this "mental state" but I don't know how long it will last... I will never evolve!

Have a wonderful day, weekend, night, wherever you are!

Be happy!

Hello Spring!!!

Western Springs, IL

Spring Mountain Ranch, Las Vegas

A spring peeper in the warm late afternoon light at Mill Pond. Another new one for the MP species book found by my son Adam. These little guys can really put up a racket on the pond as evening falls, but I have always found them to be difficult to locate. This one could sit on a nickel with room to spare.

I think you all are going to get bombarded with some spring photos. I'll finish with my polaroids and then move on. maybe.

the rains, and it's raining again, have made for a very lush yard.

**I am so sorry, but I have a hard time keeping up with commenting. I try to comment on those who comment on my stream. I can't do 'faves only' unless I have some extra time.

mea culpa.

This is the other Skimmia, which also produces berrries (I think Skimmia is one of those plants that has male and female varieties). Both have wonderful scent at the moment.
