Spring
Like damp butterfly wings from a chrysalis
unfurl the grand old tree's fresh young leaves
and stretch out: fingers hungry
for spring sunlight.

but we do have blossoms and daffodils .
“It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want—oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”
― Mark Twain
Happy First Day of Spring!
At least that's what the calendar says anyway. I had 8 inches of wet, sloppy, heavy as concrete snow yesterday morning! We all tell ourselves that we badly need the moisture, which is true, but we are also anxious to get a move on!
If spring came but once in a century, instead of once a year, or burst forth with the sound of an earthquake, and not in silence, what wonder and expectation there would be in all hearts to behold the miraculous change!" ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Hello Spring!!!
Western Springs, IL
Happy Friday, everyone. Had a great week with the grandkids (& their parents)--then our home internet went on the fritz. After five days of dealing with call centers, trying to get service, it pays off to have a high school friend who works locally with the internet provider!
More flowers from my garden, where we've had another cold spell, at last warming up a little. This is my lone Cowslip – I'm sure I used to have more, but this seems the only survivor.
And more Leucojum, taken not in the dark but twilight, as I ventured out after a day of solid rain to top up the bird feeder. All the tiny raindrops on the petals look quite jewel like.
My view of Old Rag Mountain (Shenandoah National Park in the state of VA, USA) on an absolutely beautiful spring day.
“I'm in full Spring mode!
I hope that this "mental nonsense" will pass quickly, I see beauty in anything, I see flowers everywhere, they are all beautiful, from any angle I would take a picture of them, I think it is something worrying, just like when you are young and it seems that there are no problems in sight... that's how I am now, in this "mental state" but I don't know how long it will last... I will never evolve!
Have a wonderful day, weekend, night, wherever you are!
Be happy!
