Spring is slowly creeping in - had nice walk today, mostly nice sunshine, trees still mostly bare, but you can see buds and shoots coming on, and a handful of petals opening up. Hopefully in another couple of weeks we will have full trees of blossoms.

One of many blooms on a patch of Bergenia, though this year the flowers seem short lived. Some flowers grow in chubby spikes while others, like this one, have two very distinct branches.

We so desperately need some moisture. March is supposed to be our biggest snow month, but we have been dry. A part of me is upset, as we need the moisture so badly. But I see this, and I can't help but get a little giddy.
