Tulips are synonymous with Spring. This is one from my lovely bouquet I have on my dining room table.
Spring Camp Falls in Northern Wisconsin, near Ironwood, Michigan. This photo is composed of two exposures. One for foreground and one for the sky.
Getting to this waterfall can be a little tricky, but it's highly recommended. Watch out for ticks!

Spring came to Japan.
Cherry blossoms begin to bloom in various parts of Japan.
Cherry blossoms began to bloom also in Tokyo.
The flower will open to a lot of kinds of cherry blossoms in April in March.
And, the Japanese feels the thing that spring comes by enjoying cherry blossoms by love.
I have a scattering of Crocuses in the patch of rough grass - obviously this insect has discovered them too. Not quite enough to start producing my own saffron...

The first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is another. The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month.
21st of March Spring begins in the northern hemisphere around the months of March, April, May, or as reckoned astronomically extending from the vernal equinox. As in summer, the axis of the Earth is tilted toward the Sun, and the length of daylight days rapidly increases as latitude increases. The northern hemisphere begins to warm significantly, causing new plant growth to "spring forth", giving the season its name. Snow begins to melt, and streams swell with runoff and spring rains. Most flowering plants bloom this time of year, in a long succession beginning even when snow is still on the ground, and continuing into early summer. In normally snowless areas, "spring" may begin as early as February during warmer years, with subtropical areas having very subtle differences, and tropical ones none at all. Subarctic areas may not experience "spring" at all until May or even June, or December in the outer Antarctic.

Blue skies have been a rare sight this Spring so far. We're having a very wet Spring, I guess to compensate for the unusually dry Autumn we had. Here is one of those rare moments these past days that actually felt like Spring!
Spring is finally here in the Pacific Northwest. Two DeHavilland Turbine Otter Seaplanes ready to go at Kenmore Air on Lake Washington outside Seattle.
Lately I have been quite busy and had pretty much no time to spend here on Flickr. So I apologize if I haven't been around commenting on your photos. That will change soon hopefully. The good thing is that the weather permitted for a couple of excursions over the past weekends so I got to take a few shots. However, no time means no time to go through and edit them so now that I am slowly coming back to Flickr I am posting a photo from my archive that has already been edited. Quite obvious that this is spring picture and not summer, the grass is very green. I took this one a couple of months ago in a place in New Hampshire that I have never been before: New Castle. New Castle is a small island right at the border of New Hampshire and Maine. Most of the water around it comes from Piscataqua river as it sits right at the edge of its delta. Quite a picturesque place which I will visit again at the right season (Fall). I hope everyone is doing well.
