Taken at Northpoint in Gracetown. The surf was pumping and I got a lot of photos of people getting barrelled but the light was terrible. I just like this shot for the confusion it portrays.
Another shot from last summer, during a quick trip to Eastern Oregon. I learned a lot from that experience, and will give it another try later this summer.
I forgot what the sky looks like out in the desert. Sort of sad that most of the world doesn't see skies like this, due to light pollution.
Rule #1: focus on infinity before it gets dark!

This young seagull was actually vigorously scratching an itch, but in this photo it appears to be ducking from the spray of a wave.
The red walls of Lake Powell and early morning light made for some brilliant spray as my daughter skis on the glass smooth water.

Back to work tomorrow so I thought I would make the effort and head out for the sunrise at Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin in Glen Affric. The car displayed -6°C on the way and my fingers soon confirmed this as I struggled with the camera and filters.
There were some strange and colourful clouds in the sky for a while, reflected by the still water of the loch so I think braving the cold conditions was worthwhile.
I was back home by 10am for some much needed breakfast!
Spray Lakes Reservoir is a reservoir in Alberta, Canada. The Spray Lakes were a string of lakes formed along the Spray River, a tributary of the Bow River. With the damming of the river, the lakes were united in the Spray Lakes Reservoir.
It lies between the Goat Range and the Three Sisters ridge, at an elevation of 1,720 meters (5,640 ft). The lake is followed by Highway 742 (Smith Dorrien Trail) in the northern part.
This picture was taken at the Boulder Picnic area inside the wildlife refuge. There were quite a few areas along this side road for photo opportunities. This picnic area was at the end of the road. The creek was a nice tranquil place to visit.
I'm not sure if there are any fish in the creek, but I did see one turtle. He took one look at me and took off. He wasn't very photogenic. One thing to be wary of, there are a lot of chiggers in the area. Make sure you bring bug spray.
A gardener in the neighborhood explained that she, too, spray-paints her alliums after their starburst heads and stems have dried and turned brown. She regards them then as garden decorations.

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to attend a gathering of the Melbourne Street Art Collective, where numerous talented artists gather to paint, stencil or paste-up their works.
This lovely piece is from Faith Kerehona (Faith Sprays) a lovely young artist I met for the first time.
It is so lovely to watch the artists at work, and to see the pieces develop through the process.

The cruise we went on ended at spray falls. We were sitting on the left side of the boat, so we had great views on the way back!
