This tiny (spotless) ladybug is smaller than the tip of a pencil eraser. The capture was made by adding a +4 close-up lens to the front of a Canon 18-135 IS USM lens on a Canon 77D. Sure, a high-end true macro lens may have been a bit sharper but $$750 vs $5? You can expand your photographic capabilities without breaking the bank. Follow my blog to see more tips and tutorials.

This tiny (length 3.7 - 5.7mm) and pretty ladybug earns its common name, "polished ladybug" with spotless, convex, and shiny elytra.

"Change is inevitable

Why hold on to what you have to let go of?

Like, did I really break your heart?

Was it all my fault?

If you don't knock it off

You know like I know where this was headed

I'm a wanderer

I'm a wanderer, baby

Wanderer

I'm a wanderer

Flying kite was nice

Turquoise trees and ocean breezes

Loving you was nice

But it's a new day, a new season

I've been sad inside

And he could see it, picked up your pieces

We are just alive

And alright, alright, alright"

After dropping off one car at Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon, the Sartigan Railway's spotless M420W & RS-18 are heading light power to Scott to tie up for the day. Both units look great in matching Sartigan paint.

NYC, 2023

This fellow walks this street regularly picking up bits of trash or debris and depositing them in a trash bag on his rolling cart. As you can see- the street is spotless. He's done an outstanding job this Sunday morning. This s my way of saying thanks for making our city a better place to live in.

Spotless Starling seen in Spain

Fresh out of the paint booth Ace leads an eastbound past the Amtrak station lead at Jackson, Mississippi in November 2007.

This was a rare sighting for me and I was lucky enough to have had the camera already poised while I was wating for another bird. It only showed itself for a few seconds before disappearing back into the greenery again.

Happy Gorgeous Green Thursday!

Generally most WC power looked pretty good but in this shot OLS unit 7525 is virtually spotless as is goes it alone on OACTI near MP 443 east of Caffey on September 20, 2001.

With paint so fresh you could smell it, CSX AC44CW #595 and another GE bring loaded ethanol train K427 south through the interlocking at South Deshler.

Sturnus unicolor, Mourisca-sado, Setúbal, Portugal

Visited a few months ago and the place was spotless. Visit in 2014 and its full of rubbish, beer cans and bottles mostly. When a place like this is found and people visit it, I just don't understand why they can't take their shit with them when they go. It's not hard, and down here no one else is going to do it for you.

Needs to be viewed as large as possible!

Does the Starling seen in the UK knock spots off the Spotless Starling? For most of the year (except winter) the Spotless Starling is Spain's only Starling species. Despite its name, it's oily-looking purplish black plumage is very slightly spotted.

A very clean duo of Chicago Short Line switchers were passing CP 505 alongside Norfolk Southern's Chicago Line.

The SW1500 and SW1200 combo had a coke train in tow on the former B&O in Whiting.

In 2003 Chicago Short Line became the South Chicago and Indiana Harbor railroad, but the CSL image lives on.

The winter of 1974 was an exciting time on the newly formed Providence & Worcester Railroad. The P&W began operations with leased D&H RS-3's, until the biggest surprise came from MLW in Montreal. The P&W acquired new M-420's 2001-2002 in a flashy new scheme dubbed "Parallelogram". Just over a few weeks old, P&W train PR-3 with spotless M420 2001 heads west along Amtrak's mainline at Central Falls, RI at Boston Switch headed to the downtown Providence area for a day of switching along the produce market at Atwells and in the Harbor area. Good times back then, a new growing and prosperous railroad with a bright future. If the train and new power doesn't excite you, just check out the classic vehicles! Scanned K25 slide from my collection.

This weeks first SNS is another Mike Hoff special. GB&W 314 leads number 1 at Black Creek on June 17, 1976. In typical GB&W fashion for the time 314 is spotless. Chuck Schwesinger collection.
