Strobist information: Elinchrom BRXi 500 with Octabox camera left.
I had a heck of a time separating Emma's hair from the background. I was not happy with the results of her hair. For this shot I tried something new - I used black. Not a good idea. I think I will purchase a grey back drop.
This was another shot with my wide angle lens. I climbed up on a latter and shot down at the model. I also raised the softbox as high as I could make it. With the softbox being so large all I needed was the one light.
I have also come across a tutorial on how to handle hair in Photoshop.

I had a commission from a friend of mine who's a DJ - he wanted his logo redesigned, but let me have free reign from there.
As I know him quite well, I tried a number of different themes out and this one was the one that I thought suited him the best. He's a big fan of Transformers and sci-fi movies (in particular, Star Wars), and loves most things from the 80's, so when I found Chris Spooner's tutorial on how to do a retro 80's text effect, I thought "why not" ;).
Thanks to Chris for putting up the tutorials on his blog, Spoon Graphics - you rock, man!
