Polarisation croisée

ODC - Sculpted. I was attempting to create a swirly sculpted effect with the whipped cream. Not sure if I succeeded, but it still looks pretty tasty.

Spoon Bill (Platalea leucorodia) is aresident of Sri Lanka. Adults. Belongs to Threskiornithidae family. Clicked at Bundala National Park, Sri Lanka.

I went to Kellie's for an evening of card-making and just hanging out. It was the first time I had left the house all day (other than walking the dogs).

These "flowers" are in one of the flowerbeds in her backyard. I've always thought they were so cute.

(ma com'è che quando dovrei studiare per gli esami mi metto sempre a fare foto?! :D )

There are many old wooden spoon photographs on Flickr, but I couldn't resist one of my own collection, with a rather nice recent addition.

"...wider than a mile, I'm crossing you in style some day...."

spoon river...a real place apparently (and a real book). .Normal for cats.

I remember being a kid and there would be these "psychics" and magicians that would bend spoons with their minds. I was so fascinated by this, I must have given myself a headache many times trying to bend a spoon! Well, after a few nosebleeds and decades later...

Spoon reflections

ODC - 1/3/2024 - Reflections

The focus is on the reflection in the water with the golden wire of the little spoon sieve being out of focus.

Spoon-winged lacewings - Chasmoptera superba

Recently we visited Lake Deborah north of Bullfinch and found some exquisite Spoon-winged lacewings. We were able to observe them for a few hours.

Their hind wings pump up and down as they fly.

They can fly fast or slow in a fluttering fashion.

The flight path is as a wave action.

They are sometimes seen resting on the branches of the shrubs or perched on dried sticks on the ground.

The females lay eggs in the sand. Movement from the hind wings appears to help the abdomen penetrate the sand.

Reflections in silver spoons.

Home, sweet home --- my living room reflected in an Oneida soup spoon lying on the table, with a vase full of alstroemeria in good evidence. The red and gold paper is Indian and I think hand-printed.

Happy Crazy Tuesday to Everybody! My entry for Spoon Reflection with Polaroid, Lens Flare, Darker and More Yellow effects!

The last one in the series.

Man plays spoons on Saint Catherine's Street.

Visited another favourite haunt of mine today - Ross Farm Musuem. It's been a while since I have been and it's always a wonderful place to visit. This gentleman was making spoons in the workshop.

Yup, it's a spoon... any one else going stir crazy in this weather???!

ODC: "Dining alfresco" Not really an option with all the rain we've had here...!

Spoon resting on an iphone screen, reflecting the image displayed on the screen. As a further nod to the "Tableware" theme, the image is a semi-abstract photo of a stack of blue and white plates. Width of the spoon is 34mm. HMM!

Our Daily Challenge 8-14 May : Spoon Reflections

part of my spoon collection

Not as fabulous as the trio of spoon flowers by Eiona Roberts (check them out in Not A Vase), but still pretty happy with this image. The spoon is sitting on a Mother's Day card from Caitlin, and the flower is from the plant she gave me for the same occasion.

Week 27 Sun Flares

Taken for the CC weekly challenge. Used spoons and a flash instead of the sun (of which there has been little, mainly cloudy and humid)
