Imagine if the spoon was your life and each bead was one of your dreams, wishes...

I have collected salt and demintasse (1/2 size teaspoons) spoons for some years. I did think I should have given these ones a quick polish but decided I liked them this way. The salt spoon in the centre is 1.27 cm (0.5 inches) wide. Five from my collection.

The less colorful ones are immature. Part of the resident flock in Seabourne Creek Nature Park, Rosenberg, TX.

I wish I could put a sound bite on this series. The wind in the trees made the leaves shiver and it was like paper hands clapping...the only other sounds besides the fallen leaves crackling under my feet were the birds on the lake. I could have spent the day alone with those sounds..

For Smile on Saturday: A spoonful of egg

Many years ago a friend gave us this egg that she had painted. It has survived many Easters. The spoon is ancient. I got if from my uncle who traveled extensively in the Middle and Far East, but I no longer know what country it is from.
