Comments by a core administrator on deviantART that were removed from the site by one of the administrators. An entire thread disappeared from Splat's journal at the drop of a dime. Luckily someone had their browser window open with the majority of the commentary from the deleted thread captured.

A pie in my face!

Splat of paint turned into a pink splat monster by my 6 year old son. Blogged about at Artful Adventures.

These were a series of photos I shot for some friends that had a local band. They wanted some pics to use for their web site and cd art

I saw this piece of pavement art in the car park at Praktica. Hubby was mortified that I took a photo, and a couple of passers-by laughed at me, but two seconds later someone drove through it and it was ruined, so I'm glad I saved it for posterity.

Real art is temporary.

In the context of this photo, splat is the sharp, atonal sound of a liquid or soft solid hitting a solid surface. I didn't hear this hit the ground, but I'm sure it went splat.

This splat of pale cyan/blue paint must be more than 25 years old. It's interesting how the moss or algae haven't touched it.

I first tried a piece of Styrofoam as a target.

Didn't work.

Next I tried a piece of Gatorboard. Broke the ball, but not soon enough.

So then I tried a piece of sheet metal.

Splat.

Looking up the esturary towards Salcombe.

This is the beach where I spent most of my childhood summers.
