It shared center peice with Sasha Yammashita's renound craftsmanship of the Johnny Cash two dollar bill.
-The sculptureal collage illustrates the connection between both Johnny Cash and Glen Danzig.
Despite different views on Chistianity the two connected on a spirtual level wile on American recordings thanks to Rick Rubin.
Both Cash and Danzig sharing an almost ephemeral knowledge on Christianity, they were able to connect within respect with each other, and share the recording of the song "Number 13."
*The peice itself is consructed of a hand weaved haylo of cedar twigs, dog skull, costume wings layered in acrylic white paint, a gitair fret board spines the peice with 10 horse shoe nails, two Klides spikes and one train spike (13 in total) centering around a red letra set "13.

A friend pointed something out to me that makes this photo even more interesting to me. Behind the person is a pile of fishing nets. If you view the picture on large you will see faces, arms, a sheeps skull in the nets. eerie!!
The Wazir brothers Munir, Wazir Asghar who organize this awesome grand spectacular procession from their house at Bashiron , the building where Mr Subhash Ghai had his first office Mukta Arts and a very lucky one mind you..just a stones throw from where Mithunda lived many years back, and known as Guru Nanak Park close to late Mohomed Rafi Saabs bungalow is the place where the Shias of Mumbai congregate , this juloos was started by their dad a renowned Momin and lover of Ahle Bayt..and so it continues as a heritage by his posterity.
The juloos begins with nohas a majlis ably and beautifully recited by Maulana Ali Hasan Hilal A Rajani of Karachi Pakistan, who spoke about the Hussaini Brahmins, and the message of global peace a message on the wings of Hussainiyat.
From Guru Nanak Park accompanied by Alams , Imam Hussains Taboot , Imam Hussains steed a replica we call Zuljana the juloos supported by the Bandra Police , controlling traffic snarls and law and order .. moved on.
In between the Anjumans from various parts of Mumbai did matam, women children men making the bulk and spirtual strength of the juloos, nobody was inconvenienced and this is the mystifying magic of tolerance respect for another mans religion in Amchi Mumbai..Jai Maharashtra.
Liitle kids did zanjir matam, this is the juloos kids love for the freedom to scourge without restrain , but eyes of the elders on them , taking care of their wounds.
At Almeida Park, there was water , snacks hot tea fo the mourners here it was woman and kids and families..I had moved away with Marziya my two year old grand daughter , who shot pictures of the kids scourging on my Nikon D80 assisted by me, we headed towards the Bandra Shia Khoja Mosque, I sent Marziya home as the blood scenes of sword matam, hardcore zanjir matam is just out of the world , performed by the boys of Anjuman e Yadgare Mehndi all Bandra boys like Mintu Mohsin Hallauri, Meezam Riyaz and others .Habib Nasser my friend cut his finger while shooting this event, most of the guys had to be rushed to Bhabha Hospital for stitches they has cut open their backs with the swords that required urgent medical aid.
At the mosque there was Niyaz e Hussain, but I could not taste it, my passion is documenting the spiritual fervor of my Shia race and and the indomitable spirit of humility and humanity we call Hussain.
And the day after this I shot the juloos organized by my dear friend Ali Reza Shirazi at Mount Mary.. that is last night.
My uploading is slow and has taken a very long time , the Guru Nanak Park Juloos was shot on a 1.50 MB memory card..so now you know what I have to go through to share these pictures with all of you..My uploading stops after some time and I have to manually re start again , thanks to You Telecom slow and a very bad connection..

I have lived with Naga Sadhus at the Kumbh, shot them extensively, so I am visited by Naga Sadhus from the Junagadh Akhada, this young Naga Sadhu has joined up with a Naga sect in Mount Abu.. He has given up all, his family , and has opted for celibacy.
He had come to my shop with my Naga Sadhu friends the only one who does not allow me to photograph him..They were on their way to Sai Baba of Shirdi and our friends of Balak the Tantric Naga Sadhu..

Tanah Lot is one of the important directional temples in Bali. The temple is located on a rock just offshore. It is said to be the work of revered 15th century Hindu priest Nirartha and forms an important element of Balinese spirtualism and mythology.
This is an extremely popular tourist destination and the whole area is often very busy indeed, especially in the late afternoons, pre-sunset. The beach adjacent to the temple is a maze of souvenir shops selling just about every Balinese trinket imaginable.
Once you have fought your way through the souvenir vendors to the beach, you will see the magnificent temple perched on a rock just a few metres offshore. There is a footpath to the raised cliff area just to the south from where the views of the temple and the sunset behind it are outstanding.

Ma per quanto tempo questi alka seltzer per il Clero, erogati alla bisogna, saranno bastanti?
Intanto gli edifici dell'istruzione cadono lentamente a pezzi, gli insegnanti si stressano sottopagati rispetto alla media europea e mancano gli assistenti di sostegno per i piu' svantaggiati (ma la Chiesa non vorrebbe essere paladina dei piu' deboli?!)

From the Wikipedia: "The Yazidi (also Yezidi, Kurdish: ئێزیدی or Êzidî) are a Kurdish ethnoreligious group with Indo-Iranian roots. They currently live primarily in the Nineveh Province of northern Iraq. Additional communities in Transcaucasia, Armenia, Turkey, and Syria have been in decline since the 1990s, their members having emigrated to Europe, especially to Germany.
Their religion, Yazidism, is a branch of Yazdânism, and is seen as a highly syncretic complex of local Kurdish beliefs that contains Zoroastrian elements and Islamic Sufi doctrine introduced to the area by Sheikh Adi ibn Musafir in the 12th century.
The Yazidi believe in God as creator of the world, which he placed under the care of seven holy beings or angels, the chief of whom is Melek Taus, the Peacock Angel."
"A sacred microcosm of the world, as it were, it contains not only many shrines dedicated to the koasasa, but a number of other landmarks corresponding to other sites or symbols of significance in other faiths, including Pirra selat "Serat Bridge" and a mountain called Mt. Arafat. The two sacred springs are called Zamzam and Kaniya Sipî "The White Spring".
If possible, Yazidis make at least one pilgrimage to Laliş during their lifetime, and those living in the region try to attend at least once a year for the autumn Feast of the Assembly which is celebrated from 23 Aylūl (September) to 1 Tashrīn (October). During the celebration, Yazidi bathe in the river, wash figures of Tawûsê Melek and light hundreds of lamps in the tombs of Şêx Adî and other saints. They also sacrifice an ox, which is one reason they have been connected to Mithraism, in addition to the presence of the dog and serpent in their iconography. The sacrifice of the ox is meant to declare the arrival of fall and to ask for precipitation during winter in order to bring back life to the Earth in the next Spring. Moreover, in astrology, the ox is the symbol of Tashrīn."
Today's Picture is taken at the Historic Hepburn Pool on Spring Creek in Hepburn Springs. I have sourced the information below from Wikipedia.
Hepburn Pool is located on Spring Creek within the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve in Hepburn Springs and was included on the Victorian Heritage Register following a nomination and comparative analysis of pre Olympic Swimming Pools in Victoria by Lisa Gervasoni.[1]
The Pool was built for Bellinzona Guest House in the early 1930s. Bellinzona was operated by the Zelman'a, prominent Swiss Italian settlers. The pool is created by a concrete weir and drystone walling of a natural basin in Spring Creek. Terraced drystone seating surrounds the pool. The weir features an outlet value which ensures environmental flows into Spring Creek.[2]
The pool was of Olympic size and was an early competition pool which hosted Victorian swimming championships in the 1930s. Images of the swimming championships are available on Picture Australia and at the Daylesford Museum.
The pool ceased operation in 1969 when an Olympic Pool was constructed in Daylesford. The pool filled with silt and in 1993-95 was conserved by volunteers led by Merv Keating of the Savoia Hotel using old photographs to replicate missing features such as seating.
The Pool was named Victoria's Favourite Built Place in 2004 as part of the Victorian Government's involvement in the International Year of the Built Environment.[3]
In 2006 the Victorian Minister for Planning undertook a community consultation project to resolve perceived conflicts between the heritage of the site and Council's fears regarding insurance coverage. In 2007 risk management works, funded by the Department of Sustainability and the Environment commenced.

The most famous Ganesha on the firmament of Mumbai, is the one and only one the King Of King Lal Bagh Chya Raja, see him once in your life time, he is Mumbai, sans religiosity, he belongs to everyone, I as a Muslim, sometimes wonder, that the magnetic pull he has on me, he gives me wings to hold on to my paper soul, and he brings me to his domain bare feet , I had no camera prior to this I was shooting negatives on F100,and my technician returned the Nikon D70 as he could not find any buyer for it, I have not yet paid the service charges, but the Lord wanted me to shoot him, and so I first shot the GSB Seva Mandal Ganesha at Kings Circle, pictures I posted directly from my camera no photoshopping, but with Lal Bagh Chya Raja I am not taking chances , I reached there this morning in my Sadhu attire of the Shia Pandit, and it seemed the Lord was waiting for me, I just floated in no questions, nothing though I carried my Bandra Samachar Press card, and the people waiting for his darshan have been in the queque since last evening, serpentine human trail to see the Lord of Lal Bag Chya Raja...What touches you is not just his spirtual grandeur but his humility, he seems to love eveyone , and his thoughts rend the air, Sarv Dharm Ek, all religions one...
I am an emotional person, very human, and as I write this I have tears in my eyes and this has nothing do with my faith, but the very idea that he is clay and yet emanates Godliness of peace love and harmomy.I firmly believe in this Hope and Hindutva..
On Visarjan day I shall follow him barefeet..and shoot him till part of his journey than walk barefeet all the way on foot till Girgaum Chowpatty...

I start a new set at Flickr and this set happened quite accidentally.
Yesterday I had decided to meet my family physician Dr RD Parmar , at Bandra Jain Mandir Road , it was erruptions on my skin that had plagued me ever since I returned from Pune.
I first thought it was chicken pox, so I stayed away from work and took the necessary precautions ,bathing with neem leaves in hot water, I got ample relief.
A week passed but the itching would not subside, so when Dr Parmar saw my chest and back he said it was heat related and prescribed a powder and a tablet to be taken daily.
Wife and I were walking home , that I stopped near the Bandra Ram Mandir to take a few shots , its all lit up for the forthcoming Ram Navmi feast.
I was walking away when Mr Dawarkanath, who stays behind the Ram Mandir told me about this Hanuman Mandir that I have never visited at Bandra Bazar Road .
It is very famous he told me because a Holy Man called Suryalalji from Ayodhya had a vision and he saw a Hanumanji in the form of a stone entity surrounded by water and wanted to come out ..Suryalalji came to Mumbai a few years back and the owner of the plot Mr Sharma and he dug about 6 feet and retrieved this form of Hanuman.
Afterwards I am told another form of Hanuman too was dug out from the well.
There is no water connection and the water for the entire family comes from the underground spring.
So I was dragged in spirtually , mystically, and shot pictures and met Suryalalji..
This morning I went back and shot some more pictures to share with all of you..
Suryalaji was not surprised that I was a Muslim , he said I was seeped in Hinduism within my cosmic consciousness.
Mr Sharma has passed away his daughter gave me two ladoos , and water from the spring.I ate one ladoo and kept the other one , and once again I found Mr Dwarkanath , outside the temple by fluke , I gave him the remaining ladoo.
If there is any color that can symbolize all aspects of Hinduism, it's saffron - the color of Agni or fire, which symbolizes the Supreme Being. The same color is auspicious to other religions as well, like Budhism, Sikhism and Jainism.
