Spiderweb in the rain

Droplets on a spider web is a sight that always fascinates me. So simple and so beautiful.

I found this awesome web earlier in the day, and later watched out a window as my husband mowed. I saw that his trajectory would take him right into the spider's work of art! But also saw his ball cap would protect him. Maybe. Then simultaneously a low-hanging branch snatched off the cap, he walked face-first into the web, did the crazy spider dance...and looked up to see me dying of laughter in the window. Busted!

In an old Barn in Lübeck, Germany

i love the details of nature. as i wandered the garden after a rainstorm, looking for drops on leaves, i found this little spiderweb. it reminds me that we're all connected via webs, communities, and friendships; that we're not alone. we're in this complicated and beautiful life together.
