Thanks to lensletter for the source image which you can see in the first comment box below or here:
Using the Texturelabs process that Andrew alerted me to I have been able to get this image. The news is not great at the moment and has not been for a while. texturelabs.org/tutorials/collage-effect-in-photoshop/. #ThroughHerLens
Chiesa Madre, Nuova Gibellina, Sicily. Designed by architect Ludovico Quaroni as part of the creation of a new town to replace Gibellina's original site which was destroyed in a 1968 earthquake.
Construction began in 1972 but the church was not fully completed and consecrated until 2010 (due to a partial roof collapse in 1994).

Wingaersheek Beach. Hey, you may not think it's a big deal, but I believe I deserve to give myself a pat on the back, if not on the account of the photo, then at least on the account of the title I gave it (damn clever, if you ask me!). I'll survive if you disagree on both counts 😂
When real music comes to me - the music of the spheres, the music that surpasses understanding - that has nothing to do with me, cause I'm just the channel. The only joy for me is for it to be given to me, and to transcribe it like a medium... those moments are what I live for.

So it should come as no surprise that the feature colour in my house is red.
I have many red items inside which are mostly on my standby list especially with Winter approaching, but today as I walked down stairs I noticed the way the light was streaming through the blinds onto my bowl of spheres and I really liked the stripes and patterns it was creating. Todays shot sorted!
On closer inspection of this, I realised I should have dusted them off first . . . but in my defence I've had two malamutes in the house!
For the Looking Close on Friday challenge: Spheres
Water Spheres or water beads or gel beads or crystal gel is any gel which absorbs and contains a large amount of water. Water gel is usually in spherical form and composed of a water-absorbing superabsorbent polymer (SAP, also known as slush powder in dry form) such as a polyacrylamide (frequently Sodium polyacrylate). When dry they are slightly larger than a mustard seed and can grow to about the size of a marble when saturated.
There are multiple reflections in this image. Some are right side up and others are upside down. This is the first time I have added a sphere to this type of photo and I was pleasantly surprised with the different reflections and how they were positioned. Thank you for taking a moment to view my work.
I interrupt the “past vacation shots never posted” programming to bring you a special announcement. I don’t think I’ve ever posted a video before, but when you record concrete proof of an alien encounter, you just HAVE to make it public! While government officials have tried to debunk this evidence by saying it’s just the Sphere in Las Vegas, that sounds like a cover up to me.
Happy Halloween!
