Part of the 'Air' exhibition at GoMA
Chiesa Madre, Nuova Gibellina, Sicily. Designed by architect Ludovico Quaroni as part of the creation of a new town to replace Gibellina's original site which was destroyed in a 1968 earthquake.
Construction began in 1972 but the church was not fully completed and consecrated until 2010 (due to a partial roof collapse in 1994).

Macro Mondays theme "Sphere".
Bubbles from a kids bubble machine. I can't be specific about the size, but most bubbles are approx 1cm or less, so this frame is about 5x5 cm. The double vertical lights reflected in the bubbles are from the flash.
I interrupt the “past vacation shots never posted” programming to bring you a special announcement. I don’t think I’ve ever posted a video before, but when you record concrete proof of an alien encounter, you just HAVE to make it public! While government officials have tried to debunk this evidence by saying it’s just the Sphere in Las Vegas, that sounds like a cover up to me.

So it should come as no surprise that the feature colour in my house is red.
I have many red items inside which are mostly on my standby list especially with Winter approaching, but today as I walked down stairs I noticed the way the light was streaming through the blinds onto my bowl of spheres and I really liked the stripes and patterns it was creating. Todays shot sorted!
On closer inspection of this, I realised I should have dusted them off first . . . but in my defence I've had two malamutes in the house!
