Apologies for this not being posted yesterday, I was having technical difficulties.
We have these baubles that are just bubbles of glass. I like them. Actually, I chose them last year. They remind me of the glass spheres Bowie has in Labyrinth.
Playing around in the cold to see if I could improve my frozen bubble techniques. Getting there, slowly but surely.

I love Yoko Tsuno comics, especially the ones that involve a lot of futuristic technology. The machinery always has lots of exposed, bundled wires and often spherical containers or capacitors of sorts. I've been meaning to introduce that into my builds for a while now.
I've been collecting these curved panels that form a balloon shape in order to create spheres and considering how I might go about using them in a build. After a bit of trial and error (e.g. figuring out they are not 8x8 spheres, and how to hide the bottom part to improve the "sphere" appearance) I finally built something I liked.
I will probably put this near a landing pad for one of my SHIPs, as a fuel storage facility.

This began with a blank canvas. I digitally created one black & white square section with a circle, which I changed to a shaded sphere with shading. After arranging multiple copies on a grid, I processed them in various ways and added color overlays in earth tones.
