“A Little Tale”…
Winter is almost year round in the upper Northern Region of the Enchanted Woods. Winter lasts about 10 months, sometimes, eleven.
But, this region of the Enchanted Woods is a winter wonderland of fluffy snow, icy ponds, icicles, clear blue skies and cold crisp air. A well known elf, Santa, lives in this region.
The elementals of water, air, and earth enjoy painting nature in various shades of white and icy clear crystals, as well as making air almost solid when expelled from living beings' noses or mouths. The ground is frozen solid, but there are some rare species of plants and trees that thrive here, as do many animals such as polar bears and reindeer.
The inhabitants of this frosty white region love the cold and ice and spend as much time outdoors as possible. In fact, during the one or two months when warmer weather sneaks in, most inhabitants go into a state similar to hibernation. In truth, it never gets really warm here, but to those who live here, well, 50 degrees is downright hot. The warm weather makes them dull, confused, disoriented, lost, cranky and nasty, sluggish, and very sleepy…
… During the “Time of the Cold”, when it is time for Northern Snow Fairies to do their magic, being keepers and guardians of nature, they, naturally, do their Spellwork outside.
They load up their favorite tray made from the Icywood Tree; grab their crystal ball; place their personal small trinket box, given to them at birth by their Grandparents, which holds their magic powder on top of the tray; and also include their favorite frozen flower covered in ice which is believed to enhance the power of their spells, along with a miniature figure of a human.
Now, you may wonder… a bit perplexed, perhaps, “Why would they take with them a miniature figure of a small human with them to do Spellwork”? The miniature human is there to remind them when they become deeply focused on their intentions on each spell to keep one part of themselves on the lookout at all times for the human. Humans are very dangerous and Snow Fairies want to be alert if one or more is in the vicinity so they can warn the animals, the elementals, the elves, and other fairies to run and hide. Also, they themselves want to be able to escape to safety, as well…

I keep no written “recipes” for the color or instructions for the items I create to put into/on my hutches. Pieces on this hutch are from nature or created at the time I was working on it from materials at hand at that time. Thus, it cannot be duplicated.
This is my original idea, design, and also the story.

This magnificent sculpture is the acme of my painting skill, as well as my delight in the work. It took me over a month to paint, and I have never done another like it.
From the life-like eyes to the shining silver jewellery, this exquisite magician stands a foot and a half tall. His cape and majestic beard billow in a fierce wind as he stands fast with his gnarled oaken staff. Garbed in the traditional Green and Black of his calling, this Druid clasps his silver sword and carries his leathern pouch of spellwork on his belt. When used as smoker, mist pours from this mage’s outstretched hands in his powerful spellcasting.
I'll include a translation of the runes on his hat to the purchaser, if they aren't familiar with their Futhark.
Shipping is included in the price of this piece. This is a collectable treasure taking months to create, and comes with a gift card outlining the care and feeding of your wizard. As a smoker, it uses either a half stick or a cone of incense and comes with an incense holder.
