When visiting with my son the old Strahov library in Prague he found an old ancient book and started reading! Accidentally he changed me into a duck :). Well done my son. Now change me back again... "quack, quack"

Concept is about dreams that you had kept tucked away deep down beneath your bed. Those dreams just grows and grows inside your box until eventually you can't keep it under your bed anymore.

The rain has been relentless in the north of Thailand just recently and whereas I relish this kind of weather it does have its downside with the insect world seeking a share of the same dry spot you inhabit, particularly if your accommodation is a traditional Thai wooden house - I'm not sure what that green cream is called they sell in practically every shop in Thailand but I must have gotten through tubs of the stuff over the past 2 weeks!
Yesterday, however, was different, at least enough for me to decide to abandon the car and make the 1 kilometer walk through a jungle area on the way to a small organic farm my wife owns in the Chiang Dao area.
Well away from any main road the peace and tranquility is quite wonderful and I wondered why I had not done this before. Maybe it's the insects or possibly other wildlife such as the bright green pit viper I saw precariously balanced on an overhead branch I had passed just moments before. In this case I think I prefer my greens slightly muted after all.

Macro Mondays (05.31.365) - 6
This week's Macro Monday theme allowed me to use 6 letters from a mini-Scrabble game (my favourite game) to post this week's image and to mark the end of my Project 365. I started this project last June, with the intention of learning more about how to use my camera, and ended up making some wonderful new friends - both virtually through flickr, and in person through GRIPS and the Guelph Photography Club. Along the way, I was lucky enough to have 85 images Explored, two on Explore front page, one image on the flickr blog and have over 50,000 views on my account - I am genuinely honoured. I think I finally understand what an f/ stop is, and can usually control DOF, but not always...LOL. I have dropped things in liquids, lit things on fire, launched things into the air and learned to look at the world in a whole new way. I thank you all for your support and friendship - it has been amazing and truly appreciated. Cheers!
