Speedwaywedstrijden worden gereden op een ondergrond van gravel (sintels). Om zo hard mogelijk door de bochten van de ovale baan te gaan, zet de rijder de machine dwars en geeft flink gas. Hierdoor ‘drift’ de motor door de bocht.

In Speedway, so many people love to garden and their yards reflect that love. They are often tucked next to a drive, street, house, or walkway. Many choose lovely or "quirky" ornaments for their gardens as well.
Here is a trellis in an older area of Speedway. I thought the light playing off it added a nice touch.
Students learned about investigation of a crime scene, including officers arriving on scene, interviewing witnesses, preservation of crime scene, setting up a perimeter, and evidence search and collection. In addition, students were taught fingerprint techniques.

A shot of the Speedway station in Oscoda. I can't say that I ever went in here until maybe 8 years ago — now it's the only gas station we go to since they're usually cheaper and they have a great rewards program.
I'm surprised we have a Speedway, since it's the only one within more than an hour of here. Also, I didn't realize they were still using the Starvin' Marvin name in 2001. For some reason, I thought they got rid of that longer ago.
Also, the station has been somewhat renovated. The inside was rebuilt, and the outside is now more red.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway logo with flags is located in front of the speedway inside a new roundabout where 16th St and Crawfordsville Rd. meet.
This photo was taken on the Thursday before the 2018 Indy 500, but I was not able to stay through the weekend for the race.

International Speedway Corp., owner of the Daytona International Speedway, kicked off construction in early July of its $400-million renovation of the NASCAR racetrack in Daytona Beach, Fla. The project—dubbed "Daytona Rising: Reimagining an American Icon"—is the single largest investment in the company's history.
The $400-million makeover of Daytona International Speedway will transform the nearly 1-mile-long grandstands section of the famous NASCAR track.
Design of the design-build project was nearly 100 percent complete at the start of construction in July.
The project will redo the current grandstands with a 120-ft-high structure that will extend for nearly a mile along the track’s front straightaway while also replacing the facility’s tower and adding amenities. Construction manager Barton Malow Co. and architectural firm Rossetti, both of Southfield, Mich., expect to complete the design-build project by January 2016.
