NS 392, the Roanoke-Winston Salem freight, passes Martinsville Speedway this afternoon on their way south on the Pumpkin Vine.

The Campbell Valley Regional Park in Langley is a large park located amongst farm land and with a sprawling network of trails for walking, horseback riding, and exploring. The park is also home to the Campbell Valley Downs Equestrian Centre and the historic Langley Speedway. Birdwatching, picnicking, and dog walking are also popular in the park as the easy terrain is perfect for families.

The park has a total of 29km of trails, with some multi-use paths that are shared with horseback riders, such as the long Shaggy Mane Trail that wraps most of the perimeter edges of the park. We just focus on a short loop called the Little River Loop Trail, with a short 1km excursion to the old Langley Speedway site, however you can custom plan your route along many of the other clearly marked trails in the park.

Lo speedway è uno sport motoristico non molto diffuso nel nostro Paese,praticato prevalentemente in Friuli ed in Veneto.

Questa disciplina consiste nel correre su moto prive di freni su di un circuito ovale in terra battuta della lunghezza variabile dai 340 ai 420 metri.

Le moto sono prive di cambio ed ammortizzatori posteriori,mancano pure i freni perché la tecnica di guida è basata sulla derapata che fa il pilota nell'affrontare la curva.
