It's the very definition of established-player public rip-off

Sunlight split in its spectrum by an angled mirror onto a greyish wollen carpet.

Continuing with combining Railfanning and Astronomy, my friends and I headed to Durand, MI looking for an unobstructed view of the Aurora. We found a good spot on a gravel road not far from a grade crossing on the CN Flint sub. It didnt take long after sunset before the Aurora became visible. Behind us, an eastbound CN train activated the crossing, the flashers illuminating the foreground with red light.

"Diversity is the key to life, without it we would be a mindless drone of a single colored spectrum."

n.*Spectrum:

1. Physics: The distribution of energy emitted by a radiant source, as by an incandescent body, arranged in order of wavelengths.

2. A graphic or photographic representation of such a distribution. The visible spectrum is the portion of the optical spectrum that is visible to the human eye.

"What makes photography a strange invention-- with unforeseeable consequences-- is that its primary raw materials are light and time."

Aspens trees of various sizes show off a spectrum of color down the side of the the canyon of the South Fork of Bishop Creek in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. Every year here is different, and this year the color overall seemed a little behind last year, perhaps a whole week behind. Red-orange colors however seem rare in my experience chasing aspens in these wonderful mountains. Aspen trees grow in clonal colonies with shared root systems. Those individual colonies tend to change all at once together, so it’s not unheard of to find green trees next to golden trees next to barren trees, as each colony changes at a different time. It seems as though in this scene I can spot at least five colonies that have slightly different colors. Down by the creek at the bottom of frame the trunks are tall and more mature. As we look up the slope they get smaller and smaller, with the smallest trunks on the steepest slope probably subject to repeated avalanche assault in the winter. The light here was early in the morning with the harsh direct rays blocked by the high rocky walls.

This is a full spectrum image taken with a Sigma SD14 DSLR without the IR blocking filter. This image shows what we cannot see with our own eyes, a reality that exist under our noses and we don't see unless we unblock our filters....here I unblocked my camera, my tool to see the reality of world

We were cold and we were clear

With no colors on our skin

And every color illuminates

The spaceship Spectrum from the TV Show of the same name, as it appeared in Con Man

I had the opportunity to attend Shock-A-Con in San Diego from July 21-24. While there, I was able to meet Brenda White and Wray Nerely from the Spectrum cast, and got their autographs on my ship! Nerely was so great, that he even posed for a photo with me and signed the other placard on my spaceship as Cash Wayne, his character on Spectrum! I'd love to attend another Con where the cast of Spectrum is signing, so that I can get more autographs.

A simple close-up of a massive crystal chandelier at a friends home.

I marveled at how clear the crystals were.

I asked how they kept them so clean.

Vinegar and very careful wiping with a cotton cloth.

Pretty, but too much work for me.

I'll enjoy this from a visitors perspective.

I have a dream catcher crystal that hangs in the window in my office. In a lull from the rain and sleet, the sun appeared and I saw the spectrum rainbow reflected on my desk lamp. So a quick snap with my phone before the clouds hid the sun again.

(It has a pink crushed velvet shade - yes, I know, very girly!)

no photoshop filters or effects!

I just reduced gamma and blurred some noise.

My first explorer, he says wonderingly.

There is a supermassive black hole in the center of NGC 3783, a barred spiral galaxy located about 135 million light years away in the constellation Centaurus. It has a bar structure across the center and tightly-wound spiral arms. Although not shown by this classification, observers note the galaxy has a luminous inner ring surrounding the bar structure. The bright compact nucleus is active and categorized as a Seyfert 1 type. This nucleus is a strong source of X-ray emission and undergoes variations in emission across the electromagnetic spectrum.

The source of the activity in this galaxy is a rapidly rotating supermassive black hole, which is located at the core and is surrounded by an accretion disk of dust. The estimated mass of this black hole is 8.7 million solar masses. Interferometric observations yield an inner radius of 0.52 light years for the orbiting torus of dust.[

This is a member of a loose association of 47 galaxies known as the NGC 3783 group. Located at a mean distance of 117 million light-years. The NGC 3783 group has a mean velocity of about 2,903 km/s with respect to the Sun.

Had a quick shoot yesterday evening with Valerie. I'm so happy with how the photos came out, especially this one. The sun was setting so quickly and the sunset was actually somewhat disappointing. But we definitely worked with what we had.

It felt so good to get out and shoot. This was the first shoot I've done in months and it was such an amazing feeling. I don't know why I stopped doing so many shoots, there really is no excuse. I think I just forgot how much I love doing photoshoots and how proud I get when I'm finished editing. I definitely have my inspiration back.

:)
