This is living in Sweden in late winter/early spring. Salt lines on my new pretty vintage shoes (from Friday's slush inferno). Now I've decided not to expect spring until my 23th birthday in mid May. No more disappointment, cold feet and ruined shoes. But lots of making the most of the beautiful sunnny spring days that are hopefully to come...

Raptor Soldier Spotlight: Spc. Juan Flores is an Attack Helicopter Repairer assigned to Task Force Tigershark, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, 7th Infantry Division currently deployed in support of US Forces Afghanistan. He hails from Long Beach, California and is a graduate of Bellflower High School. He is currently attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University pursuing a degree in aeronautics. Flores hopes to obtain an Airframe and Powerplant License and to complete his degree.

 

Spc. Flores would like to send his love to his wife Emily and his friends and family back home.
