I had never noticed this antique bench at Lake Roland before yesterday. Wondering about the meaning of the "spade", it may symbolize the earth in regards to the four elements, and it is a leaf from a cosmic tree representing life.Baltimore, MD

"Seaton is a village on the south coast of Cornwall, at the mouth of the River Seaton 3.8 miles east of Looe and ten miles west of Plymouth. The village is in the civil parish of Deviock. The village stretches inland along the River Seaton valley. It has two pubs, a beach café, and some shops."

Lost & Found

Looking for the sunrise but

found someone's bucket and spade on the North Beach at Scarborough.

Here's the cheeky chappie again, using my spade handle for a perch to cast an eye at the upturned turves to see if he can spot a worm.

Shot taken while out a wandering for Saturday Self Challenge 30/10/2021 -- PBWA .

i.e. a random shot while out walking .

Someone is in the dogbox now , lurking in his shed while tea gets cold on the table - no good leaning on yur spade now mate cos any minute now you might be feeling it round yur lug'ole !!

This little scene of domestic "bliss" was spotted in the front of a property down an unmade lane with all trees on one side and detached properties on the other - also all surrounded by trees . On a very near tree to the scene here there was a fairy door , maybe on the other side of the door is where we might find a plate of congealed sustenance ! I took the shot and was on me way before things got nasty - I have not read in the local press of any assaults or murders I am glad to say !!

In the same vein of the above text , here is some music where a bit of working knowledge of Cockney Rhyming Slang would be of assistance !!

They call him Mr. Spade. Mostly, he calls himself that. In a long line of impressive self-made super heroes, Mr. Spade is no exception. His key tactics involve jumping, growing a beard, and throwing decks of cards at his enemies to distract and run away. But most nights when he's not injured, he's watching tv.

It's always fun taking your bucket'n'spade to the beach and building sandcastles, but it seems there's always someone who likes to go one better!

Bamburgh Castle is a bit of a showstopper on the Northumberland coast and although there have been many modification over the years, the core of the building was originally built by the Normans. The site though has been occupied for much longer and it's thought that

it was probably the ancient capital of the kingdom of Bernicia, founded in around AD420 to AD547.

One thing's for sure, it certainly provides inspiration when you're down on the sand with your bucket'n'spade!

This was all that was left of a Holly leaf. I've tried this type of shot before but in low woodland light it can be quite hard to get sharp shots, hand held! I quite liked the idea of a square crop to remove distractions [shame about that fly!] and improve the composition - pretentious, qui moi?!
