This is a built (by someone else, long ago) model kit that I acquired, the Lindberg Space Station (this particular one is a 1970s reissue of the original 1950s kit). There are numerous parts missing, yet it still looks great for my purposes.

The "wheel" space station concept used for this kit was based on by Werner Von Braun's designs.

Check out the original size view.

This station has become a parking lot now that the pumps are shut down. Thought I'd better get the awesomely cool signage before they demolish or trade it for the Conoco or some such big corporation's sterile logo.

Ogle Earth wrote great KML to track Space Shuttle Discovery and ISS on Google Earth, by a Network Link to scrape cordinates from NASA website.

It shows actual altitude of the orbiters in good shape.

KML is available in this blog entry.

One of the most noticeable models created by Gamla Model Makers in 2015 is a giant 1:50 scale model of ISS. The model is twice larger than our most popular 1:100 scale model, it depicts the latest 2015 configuration and includes some newest elements such as replicas of Dragon and Cygnus spacecraft and the BEAM - the inflatable habitat module.

This version was developed using the 3D model of the 1:100 scale ISS. However, due to a larger size, the majority of the elements were re-designed to increase the level of detailing and overall accuracy. The internal reinforcement system, supports and the order of assembly were also modified to compensate for increased size and weight. The images of the model give an insight on the assembly of the model and attaching magnetized elements. You can see how large this model on the images where the crew members interact with the model.

The model was delivered to the NASA Johnson Space Center and will be installed in the Visitors Center.

Edited NASA PR image of a concept space station from 1969.

Original caption: A 1969 station concept. The station was to rotate on its central axis to produce artificial gravity. The majority of early space station concepts created artificial gravity one way or another in order to simulate a more natural or familiar environment for the health of the astronauts. After returning micro-gravity environment, astronauts find their muscles weak because they have not been using them. Long-term exposure to micro-gravity could generate long-term health problems for astronauts who do not utilize their muscles. This is why there are exercise machines on space shuttles and on the International Space Station. It was to be assembled on-orbit from spent Apollo program stages.

Antares disappears into a low-lying cloud deck. The principle weather concern on the morning of the launch was cloudiness, and conditions were highly variable just before launch (with some clearing to make visible patches of stars). Launch control moved the target time back to the end of the 5-minute window (4:44 am EDT) on the theory the weather might improve. From our perspective, the weather at the original target of 4:39 am was probably just as good.

The International Space Station zips over central Virginia during the early morning hours on April 3, 2013. Heading through the Moon-soaked skies at 17,250 miles per hour, the space station is seen here in front of the faintly visible Milky Way and a few stray wispy clouds.

Photo is a composite of several individual 15 second frames, so as to capture the continuous motion of the ISS over time without introducing significant star trails, or requiring an equatorial mount for tracking.

Bit like my room. You can't see the floor there either!!!

this is a shot from inside the 'pyramid' of my new, still-in-construction ship. there isn't a whole lot of room in the pyramid, i had toyed with the idea of using this as a room with a stargate, but, instead i am going to try and add some pylons and railings so that, from the inside, it looks, sort of like, the observation room on Destiny.

in this shot, the new Destiny -- I need to come up with my own name for my smaller version -- is flying through the outer layers of a red giant.
