The really good Thai Spa's take such trouble to create a heavenly atmosphere. And with such style, intricacy and creativity too.
These sorts of decorative arrangements could be found every 10 meters in a one acre size spa ....
If I make it to Heaven and it looks anything like the spa I visited in Koh Samui, Thailand, that will do for me!

66564 passes through Leamington Spa with 4O49 09:23 Crewe Basford Hall-Southampton on the 4th of October 2011. This shot has since been spoiled to some extent, as some horrible looking flats have been built behind the station to the right.
45699 'Galatea' (running as 45627 'Sierra Leone') runs into York station heading the 1Z67 07:52 Carnforth to Scarborough 'Scarborough Spa Express' on Thursday 31st August 2023, the last of the 2023 season.

As cold winds and a lot of rain come down, Keely dreams of a little island paradise where the weather is much nicer...
Also, I was hoping for a chance to play with lighting and this gave me an excuse.
And now a bunch of red tulips, which are my favourites though for choice I'd have them a shade deeper than these. As Valentine's Day approaches, the red ones vanish, held back so they can be put into extra-large bouquets...
The Spa Valley Heritage Line runs past the High Rocks Inn in East Sussex. This old diesel slam door train chucks out enough filth to give a climate change activist apoplexy.
A floating spa in Longyearbyen harbor. It was very cold the day this image was taken, but the fellow at the spa seemed unfazed. Take note of the trangular warning signs on the front wall, including the one warning of walrus and the other regarding polar bears.

The Slaithwaite Spinning Company which had already built three cotton-spinning mills in vicinity, built the large five-storeyed fireproof cotton-spinning mill seen here in 1906-7 modelled on contemporary Lancashire designs. 1E29 Liverpool to Scarborough.

In the absence of anything flowering in the garden until my snowdrops emerge, more indoor flowers. Tulips are my favourite cut flowers, from the tight budded stage right through to the wild stage just before petals start falling off. This one is interestingly blurry at the top, and I can't even blame the prevailing wind...
The first Scarborough Spa Express of the season ran on 26th June 2025. The train, 1Z15 from Carnforth, crosses the River Ouse at York headed by class A1 no. 60163 'Tornado'.
