Their sense of honor is intense, they hold both themselves and others to a very high standard, and they are deeply wounded when someone breaks that code. There is an ingrained need for everyone to acknowledge and validate their existence. This can lead to what can be labeled as narcissistic or absolutist behavior that borders on the absurd.
They hate being told what to do, but if you can get them to listen, they can usually be persuaded—especially if you make them feel like it was what they wanted all along. But they’ll always secretly resent that they didn’t reach this conclusion alone. Leos don’t like to be told to do things, and they especially don't like being forced. They demand respect and they don’t take kindly to people who don’t respect them.

He gives mankind sunshine and brings the coming of night. It was He who laid out the heavens and earth, providing man with mountains, lakes and rivers and all the living things within them. His deed is everywhere, His power is everywhere, His wisdom is everywhere, and His authority is everywhere. … The management of God is always going forward and has never ceased. He will make mankind aware of His existence, trust in His sovereignty, behold His deed, and return to His kingdom. This is His plan, and the work that He has been conducting for thousands of years.”

Many people in Turkey commemorate the first gathering of the Grand National Assembly (the Turkish Parliament), which took place on April 23, 1920, by attending local ceremonies or laying wreaths at monuments of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic. The biggest ceremony takes place at the Ataturk Mausoleum in Ankara.
Because Ataturk reportedly dedicated the Turkish Republic to children, Turkish schoolchildren take seats in the Parliament for the day and symbolically govern the country. They elect a president who then addresses the country on national television. Children’s festivals take place throughout the country. The state-run Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) brings children, aged eight to 14, from different countries around the world to Turkey. These children stay with Turkish families for a week and participate in children’s festivals, which culminate is a gala-performance on April 23.

God's been in this world for many years, but who knows Him? No wonder God chastises people. Seems God uses them as objects of His authority. Seems they're bullets in His gun, and once He's fired it, they'll all escape one by one. But this is not what is real, it's their imagination. God loves people like His treasure, since they're the "capital" of His management. He will not eliminate them. He won't change His will towards them. He won't change His will towards them.

God has always respected humans. He hasn't once exploited or traded them like slaves. For He and man can't part. Thus a life and death bond is formed. Between man and God, God loves, cherishes humans. Though this isn't mutual, God still spends efforts on them, as to God they still look up. God loves people like His treasure, since they're the "capital" of His management. He will not eliminate them. He won't change His will towards them. He won't change His will towards them. He won't change His will towards them. He won't change His will towards them.

Can they truly trust God's oath? How can they satisfy God? This is the task for all man, the "homework" God left for all. It is God's hope that they will all work hard to complete it.

The harsh convict barracks at Fremantle (the waterfront district of Perth, the capital of Western Australia) -- established in the British colonisation of Australia -- was first known as the "Convict Establishment". It was renamed Fremantle Prison in 1867. The lighthouse above steered the transportation ships into Fremantle harbour for unloading of the convicts.
Convicts built the prison between 1852 and 1859 using limestone quarried on the site. The first prisoners moved into the main cell block in 1855.
Like Tasmania's notorious Macquarie Harbour Penal Station (see "Hell's Gate Lighthouse" in this gallery on page 2 near the bottom); Fremantle Prison was also an extremely tough prison to be shipped to across the world.
Common events were hangings, floggings, and solitary confinement, which saw daring convict escapes, and prisoner riots. Nearly 10,000 convicts passed through the prison between 1850 and 1868. Transportation then ceased following a reassessment of British home policy.
Inmates also included imperial convicts, colonial prisoners, enemy aliens, prisoners of war, maximum-security detainees, and thousands of Australian Indigenous or Aboriginal people, who never yielded sovereignty to the British. In 1991, the prison was shut down, and later became a museum.
Believe it or not, in 2010, Fremantle Prison, along with 10 other historic convict sites around Australia, was placed on the World Heritage Register for places of universal significance. (various references).

Dubrovnik is a city in southern Dalmatia, Croatia, by the Adriatic Sea. It was historically known as Ragusa. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, a seaport and the centre of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The history of the city probably dates back to the 7th century, when the town known as Ragusa was founded by refugees from Epidaurum (Ragusa Vecchia). It was under the protection of the Byzantine Empire and later under the sovereignty of the Republic of Venice. Between the 14th and 19th centuries, Dubrovnik ruled itself as a free state. The prosperity of the city was historically based on maritime trade; as the capital of the maritime Republic of Ragusa, it achieved a high level of development, particularly during the 15th and 16th centuries, as it became notable for its wealth and skilled diplomacy. Dubrovnik in the medieval scale was a spacious city. From the beginning of its existence, the city was surrounded by defensive walls, which were constantly extended and raised until they formed a powerful fortress. Later the Republic gradually declined due to a combination of a Mediterranean shipping crisis and the catastrophic earthquake of 1667. In 1939, Dubrovnik became part of the newly created Banovina of Croatia and under communism Dubrovnik became part of SR Croatia within SFR Yugoslavia. In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in recognition of its outstanding medieval architecture and fortified old town. In 1991, during the Croatian War of Independence, Dubrovnik suffered significant damage from shelling. After undergoing repair and restoration works in the 1990s and early 2000s, it re-emerged as one of the Mediterranean's top tourist destinations, as well as a popular filming location.

Dubrownik – miasto w Chorwacji, położone w południowej Dalmacji nad Morzem Adriatyckim. Centrum osadniczym i najstarszą częścią miasta (a jednocześnie jego największą atrakcją turystyczną) jest Stari Grad – Stare Miasto. Dzisiejsza nadmorska część dzielnicy Stari grad pierwotnie stanowiła wysepkę Lausa (bądź Lave) z małą osadą i kościółkiem. Po najeździe Słowian na Bałkany na początku VII wieku na wysepce osiedlili się uchodźcy ze zrujnowanego przez Słowian Epidaurum. Na lądzie stałym naprzeciw wysepki Słowianie założyli osadę Dubrovnik. Mieszkańcy obu osad żyli zgodnie, co pozwoliło w XII wieku je połączyć. Dokonano tego poprzez zasypanie przesmyku, na którego miejscu powstała główna ulica miasta – Stradun. Dubrownik w skali średniowiecznej był miastem obszernym. Miasto od początku swego istnienia było otoczone murami obronnymi, które wciąż poszerzano i podwyższano, aż utworzyły potężną twierdzę. Rozkwit miasta trwał od XIII do XVI wieku. W tym czasie powstała większość budowli i urządzeń miejskich, stanowiących dziś jego zabytki. Zmierzch Republiki Dubrownickiej i jej stolicy był skutkiem wielkiej zmiany szlaków handlowych w Europie po odkryciu Ameryki w XV wieku i utracie znaczenia gospodarczego szlaków śródziemnomorskich. Ponowny rozwój, choć powolny, zaczął się po zjednoczeniu Dalmacji i Bośni w jednym państwie – Królestwie Jugosławii w 1918. Obecnie Dubrownik jest najchętniej odwiedzanym przez turystów miastem w Chorwacji. Słynie z zabytków, architektury, lokalnej kuchni i życia nocnego. W 1979r. stare miasto w Dubrowniku zostało wpisane na Listę Światowego Dziedzictwa Kulturowego UNESCO jako unikalny w Europie, zachowany w całości układ urbanistyczny średniowiecznego miasta wraz z systemem umocnień obronnych.

God has always respected humans. He hasn't once exploited or traded them like slaves. For He and man can't part. Thus a life and death bond is formed. Between man and God, God loves, cherishes humans. Though this isn't mutual, God still spends efforts on them,
as to God they still look up. God loves people like His treasure, since they're the "capital" of His management. He will not eliminate them.

Can they truly trust God's oath? How can they satisfy God? This is the task for all man, the "homework" God left for all. It is God's hope that they will all work hard to complete it.

Tianxia (literally: "under heaven") is a Chinese language word and an ancient Chinese cultural concept that denoted either the entire geographical world or the metaphysical realm of mortals, and later became associated with political sovereignty. And I'd say this name suits the country well. One more shot from Guangzhou, South China.

This year we end the Seven Days of Thanksgiving series in Paprihaven on the day after. Why? While it is wonderful to have a day set aside specifically to acknowledge our impossible debt to God by expressing our gratitude, every day should truly be a day of thanksgiving. After the amazing celebration at the Simmons,* the girls are back at Tracy's house.

God wants you to give thanks.
Well, Thanksgiving came and went. Did your gratitude last beyond your afternoon nap? For many, that’s the extent of their thanksgiving—a one-time, get-it-out-of-the-way holiday that reminds them to reflect on how blessed they are. Too often and too quickly, people resort back to being ingrates. But God wills us to be thankful all the time, in all things. That’s the point of 1 Thessalonians 5:18 where Paul says, “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” So if you’re saved, Spirit-filled, sanctified, submissive, and suffering, you have one thing left to do in order to follow God’s will—be saying thanks.
Paul’s simple, direct command—in everything give thanks—allows believers no excuse for harboring ingratitude. In everything carries an unlimited requirement. It refers to everything that occurs in life. With the obvious exception of personal sin, we are to express thanks for everything. No matter what struggles or trials, God commands us to find reasons for thanking Him always (Acts 5:41; James 1:2-3; 1 Peter 1:6-9). That’s His will.
If you’re not obeying that command, you’re not following God’s will. Think of it like this: If gratitude doesn’t come easy for you, neither will finding God’s will. Or to put it another way, if you struggle with being thankful, you’ll struggle with following God’s will. Need some motivation? Here are some reasons God wills you to be thankful:
God commands it:
Gratitude should come naturally to believers in response to all God has done on their behalf, but because of our hardness of heart, God enjoins us to thanksgiving with commands (Philippians 4:6; Colossians 2:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:18). Therefore, all forms of ingratitude are sinful. Paul commanded the Colossians, “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful” (Colossians 3:15).
When Paul describes the believer’s Spirit-filled life, he writes, “speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father” (Ephesians 5:20). God doesn’t merely command those expressions of gratitude and leave believers helpless to comply. He enables us to articulate them (Philippians 2:13), and is pleased when we do.
Joni Eareckson Tada, who was involved in an accident that left her paralyzed from the neck down, writes, “Giving thanks is not a matter of feeling thankful, it's a matter of obedience.”
Thankfulness acknowledges God’s sovereignty:
The single, greatest act of worship you can render to God is to thank Him. It’s the epitome of worship because through gratitude, we affirm God as the ultimate source of both trial and blessing—and acknowledge our humble acceptance of both.
With a thankful heart, you can say in the midst of anything, “God be praised.” That kind of attitude looks beyond the circumstance to the plan of God. It sees beyond the pain to the sovereignty of God. It remembers, “God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). An attitude of thankfulness enables us to deal with those who wrong us, saying with Joseph, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good” (Genesis 50:20). Those who are thankful see the providential hand of God everywhere and say, “God, I thank You for the peaceful times as well as the hard times—a difficult marriage, a challenging job, a severe illness—because I know You will use those things for my good and Your glory.”
The grateful Christian remembers that suffering perfects, confirms, strengthens, and establishes him (1 Peter 5:10). God wills that kind of thankfulness.
God judges ingratitude:
William Shakespeare wrote, “How sharper than a serpent's tooth it is to have a thankless child. Ingratitude thou marble hearted fiend.” If Shakespeare understood the hostile attitude behind thanklessness, imagine what God must think about it.
Ingratitude is the very essence of an unregenerate heart, ranking among the most intolerable sins in Scripture. The apostle Paul identified unbelievers as ungrateful: “For even though they knew God [through conscience and general revelation], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened” (Romans 1:21). Because man in his pride fails to honor and glorify God as Creator, he also refuses to thank Him for His gracious provision. Ingratitude betrays unbelief, and both sins bring about God’s judgment.
Although God is the source of every good thing that men possess—giving life, breath, rain, sunshine, and other natural blessings to the just and unjust alike (Matthew 5:45; Acts 14:15–17)—the natural man refuses to thank Him. In his fallen mind, to thank God is to acknowledge his own obligation to worship Him.
In summary, God wills our being thankful in all things because gratitude is the ultimate expression of a transformed heart. But thanklessness can infest and destroy a church, marriage, family and home. So cultivate a heart of gratitude. Be thankful for all things and in all circumstances. That’s God’s will.
