Open Source Summit is the leading conference for developers, architects and other technologists – as well as open source community and industry leaders – to collaborate, share information, learn about the latest technologies and gain a competitive advantage by using innovative open solutions.
Open Source Summit connects the open source ecosystem under one roof. It covers cornerstone open source technologies; helps ecosystem leaders to navigate open source transformation with the Diversity Empowerment Summit and tracks on business and compliance; and delves into the newest technologies and latest trends touching open source, including networking, cloud-native, edge computing, AI and much more. It is an extraordinary opportunity for cross-pollination between the developers, sysadmins, DevOps professionals and IT architects driving the future of technology.

Screenshot of the dinner speech at the first conference day of Harold Nelson at the ISSS 2001 Annual Meeting Asilomar , online at Vimeo March 2021.
In 2001 the 45th annual meeting of the International Society for the Systems Sciences (ISSS) took place in the Centre Asilomar Pacific Grove (1, 2) in Monterey, California from Sunday July 8th until July 13th, 2001. It was hosted by Harold G. Nelson, who had been the 44th president of the ISSS. The theme of the annual ISSS conference that year was "Systems Science in the Service of Humanity."
On the end of the first conference day at dinner Nelson started to tell a little about his own background. He explained (3):
"I grew up in Western Montana, a very rural area. And so, I was living systems long before I knew what they were."
"I had a hard time when I left the state, categorizing things, people in categories and that sort of things. Because people back home... there were not enough people to categorize. There was just you and everybody. And they were who they were in their particular. So it was ... hard... to break.
One of the crazy things that happened to me and my generation was that the Russians did that crazy thing. They put up Spoednik. And I was happy being an artist, working on hard truths... But suddenly the educational system pushed me in the direction of pre-engineering, so we could beat the Russians..."

While I was in Minneapolis, we spent time hanging out at The Tea Source. The Tea Source is in St. Paul and it is one of my favorite places to go for a good cup of tea.

Shows that search engines are the biggest traffic source - and of the search engines google was by far the biggest contributor.
Barring search engines it is the mentions on other sites that gets traffic to the site - not facebook/twitter/flickr, rather sellers blogs and online magazines. Which is quite interesting!
Not sure what we can do with this info, but it is quite interesting.

Those lens would cost $8 million to replace today. Tricky shot to get with the lens table rotating, it took several goes to get the timing right to poke the camera in and shoot.
Source is a surreal adventure that unfolds in a strange alternate dimension. You control a creature similar to a dragonfly that must prevent the world of Source from falling into eternal darkness by gathering and distributing energy throughout the vast world. In order to achieve this, you must first learn how the world works by observing and coexisting with the various indigenous creatures that inhabit this bizarre world.
