Sonidos de Petra (Jordania). Ciudadano de Petra tocando la "Rababa", instrumento musical típico del lugar.

"Tokyo’s 'Green Milk from the Planet Orange' spins a cosmic blend of prog rock, psychedelia and experimental noise. Their sound is all about wild riffs, heavy grooves and improvisational twists." (Desertfest Berlin, www.desertfest.de/lineup/green-milk-from-the-planet-orange/)

The capture shows the band's bassist Wadamori Yu aka Damo. I was deeply impressed by their sounds, but also by the light on stage which made Wadamori's bass glow neon green.

The colours were so fantastic, I didn't have to change anything.

I found it very unusual to see a rock band playing sitting down, but I can imagine the effort it takes to produce these sounds, it certainly requires a lot of concentration.

As I watched this nice-looking Song Sparrow along the Meadowbrook Section of the Los Angeles County Arboretum I, of course, expected a SONG !!! However, all I received was the "Sound of Silence" LOL !

It's undeniably one of the architecture marvels, the Golden Gate Bridge.

I's just havin' a bit of fun, y'know - I get so bored and that paint tool, being the saucy minx it is, is so comforting...

A miniature home made steam whistle removed from the "miljaarbak", that is the bin where all the failed parts that my husband made for his minature steam engines end up. It makes a whistle sound anyway. :-)

Another view of the fallen tree seen in a previous post here in Bushy Park. This time there is a dog walker standing close by giving a sense of scale . This tree is another victim of the recent storms and this tree is one of around 40 that were blown over .

Almost a case off - The bigger they are - the harder they fall , and that eternal question is , Did it make a sound ??

Took this during intermission at Peter Gabriel concert -- that's a lot of work for the crew!

In the hours after we sailed past the Antarctic Circle, we saw lots of large icebergs, like this one, in relatively rough water. I love the juxtaposition of this one, as a wave crashes into it, against the mountainous mainland of the Antarctic Peninsula.

Crystal Sound, Antarctica.

I made a short film of what I saw in Antarctica. If you'd like to see it, head over to YouTube or you can watch it here on Flickr.

If you'd like to see all my Antarctica images together, you can visit my Flickr Antarctica album.

I wrote three blog posts about this amazing trip to Antarctica. If you'd like read about the trip and see some more documentary/BTS images, you'll find the blog posts here:

After we left Picton on the road around the Sounds on the way to Havelock, the sun was shinning and it was really warm. On our trip up the South Island of New Zealand April 2019.

With 150km of New Zealand's coastline, Marlborough Sounds is a collection of ancient sunken river valleys filled with the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Forested hills rise steeply from the sea around an intricate coastline of sheltered inlets and sandy bays. The area has three main bodies of water - Queen Charlotte, Kenepuru and Pelorus Sounds. The Department of Conservation manages over 50 reserves in this scenic playground.

On the road to Milford Sound. I waited patiently for ages to get this shot. Eventually there was a gap in the cars and I got the capture.

I saw the film today. It's an excellent, highly well crafted film that holds your attention all the way through. It is one of the very best movies that I've seen in a long time, and what a powerful message it sends about child abuse. I heard that some people are criticizing the film. Anyone who criticizes this movie either doesn't have a heart or supports pedophilia.
