1) What are your main musical influences ?
Salsa is huge for me. Growing up with a Cuban family is amazing as far as music goes. Celia Cruz is one of the first artists that I can recollect being a fan of. Tropical music is so uplifting, even if the lyrical content is on a sad note.
Another huge musical influence is Jazz and Blues because I'm from New Orleans. I love the soul, grit, and emotion that's put into Jazz and Blues. I love the darkness and how its always about heart ache and struggle. Its a form of expression thats so repressed now a days.
Electronic music is the third musical love of my life. It reminds me of moving out to LA and discovering something totally new and different. I love the culture behind Electronic music. The fashion, dance moves, and energy behind it all is so alive!
2)Beside the music, which other arts do you really love?
I really enjoy writing. No let me re phrase that, I REALLY, REALLY love writing. My note books are my most faithful & true friends in this world. I think that their the reason why I'm making music in the first place. The expression of thought, and emotion on paper is like my burger and fries. It'll never get old.
I also enjoy the dancing arts. There's something really beautiful about seeing a person who's completely comfortable with movement. It's very freeing and admirable.
3) How do you imagine the future of the music industry? The cd would be extinguished? ,will there be only digital versions?, record labels may redefine their role?
I honestly believe that the future of music itself will revert to the past. LIve instruments, songs with more substance, & real artists. I don't see the CD lasting too much longer and I'm not too sad about it. It's more environmentally friendly to down load music any way.
There are so many kids creating hype on their own via social networking and youtube. I don't know what role labels would play if this continues on. Maybe they'll go with the CD's.
4)What was the first album you bought?, and which was the last? , both locally and internationally
The Miseducation of Lauren Hill when I was 14. That album was beyond me at that time but I still listened to it back to back for months on in. She's so empowering and has such brilliant word play and so many messages to send.
The last Album I downloaded was XX by The XX. Their an indie band who's sound is soothing and ambient. A mellow like swag. Their music reminds me of a day after being at the beach, feeling totally relaxed riding down the PCH. Their rad.
5) What topics had influence in your lyrics ?
Bad relationships, nights in Hollywood, and dreaming.
6)What are your future plans ?
I don't make plans for the future. They say if you wanna tell god a joke, tell em' you've got a plan. Day by day man.

Las cuatro entidades del Sector de la Inclusión Social y la Reconciliación rindieron cuentas este miércoles: expusieron avances alcanzados durante 2021, en las metas para la superación de la pobreza, la protección de la niñez y la adolescencia, la construcción de memoria del conflicto armado y la reparación de las víctimas.
En superación de pobreza, Prosperidad Social encabezó una trasformación histórica, para incidir en la reducción de 3,6 puntos porcentuales en la pobreza monetaria y de 4 puntos porcentuales de la pobreza extrema, durante 2021. Esto fue gracias a los programas de transferencias monetarias: Ingreso Solidario, Familias en Acción, Jóvenes en Acción, Colombia Mayor y Devolución del IVA. La entidad benefició a miles de hogares con programas de inclusión productiva y con proyectos de infraestructura. En todos sus programas, invirtió más de 13,4 billones de pesos, para atender a hogares en situación de pobreza.
El ICBF logró atender a más de 1,5 millones de niños y niñas con educación inicial en el marco de la atención integral, para lo que invirtió más de 4,2 billones de pesos; y a 3.520 jóvenes con un programa integral, para abordar la promoción de la salud mental. El trabajo del ICBF garantizó adecuaciones y dotación de 129 infraestructuras para la primera infancia en todo el país, para beneficiar a 15.344 niñas y niños.
El trabajo de la Unidad para las Víctimas logró que, hasta diciembre de 2021, 2.892.968 víctimas de desplazamiento forzado superaran la situación de vulnerabilidad. En este año del que hizo balance, la entidad ejecutó 111.910 giros de indemnización, para beneficiar a 107.527 personas. Eso requirió una inversión de 35.000 millones de pesos. En atención humanitaria, realizó 780.753 giros, para 451.000 hogares. Para eso invirtió cerca de 479.000 millones de pesos.
El Centro Nacional de Memoria Histórica (CNMH) reportó un avance de 43,67 % en uno de los principales proyectos de reparación y garantías para la memoria de las víctimas del conflicto en la historia del país: la construcción del Museo de Memoria de Colombia. En 2021, el Centro puso al servicio del país el Visor de Memorias, que cuenta con cuatro secciones interactivas cargadas de gráficas y diferentes filtros para conocer las iniciativas de memoria y sus actores en todo el país.
El director (e) de Prosperidad Social, Pierre García Jacquier, describió el ejercicio conjunto de 2021 y del cuatrienio en general como una “revolución social” generada por la política social del Gobierno y encabezada por las entidades del sector.
“Prosperidad Social respondió con toda su capacidad a los retos sociales y de superación de pobreza históricos y emergentes por la pandemia. Los programas de inclusión productiva de la entidad acompañaron a más de 55.000 hogares con intervenciones rurales: 27.909 con Familias en su Tierra, 9.663 con Iraca y 19.149 con la Red de Seguridad Alimentaria y su versión exprés: Manos que Alimentan. También beneficiaron a 930 personas con Mi Negocio y Tiendas para la Gente; y a 28 organizaciones del archipiélago de San Andrés y Providencia con Emprendimiento Colectivo”, informó.
En 2021, el ICBF dispuso de 20 Unidades de Búsqueda Activa en 10 departamentos, para vincular a 50.176 niños y niñas no beneficiados con la oferta del instituto. En eso invirtió 5.239 millones de pesos. Además, con la estrategia Sacúdete, atendió a 128.069 adolescentes y jóvenes, para lo que invirtió 44.630 millones de pesos.
La directora del ICBF, Lina María Arbeláez, dijo: “Los pilares de la gestión y de la inversión de la entidad, durante este periodo, han sido garantizar el bienestar en el curso de vida con educación inicial para la primera infancia, trabajar en la prevención de riesgos en la infancia, detonar los talentos e impulsar la construcción de proyectos de vida de adolescentes y jóvenes, y fortalecer a las familias como verdaderos entornos de protección de los niños, niñas y adolescentes”.
La Unidad para las Víctimas recibió en 2021 otras 75.255 declaraciones individuales presenciales y 58.358 en línea. También ofreció atención psicosocial para 21.417 víctimas, de las cuales el 64 por ciento fueron mujeres. Su director, Ramón Alberto Rodríguez, declaró que se ha hecho realidad poner a las víctimas en el centro de las acciones del sector de la inclusión social y la reconciliación.
“Es con hechos que les hemos cumplido a las víctimas. Por eso, 2.892.968 víctimas de desplazamiento forzado superaron su situación de vulnerabilidad; 1.403.623 la han superado durante los últimos 46 meses. En este gobierno logramos reparar colectivamente a 50 sujetos de víctimas colectivas, indemnizamos a 365.515 víctimas con una inversión superior a los 3,5 billones, como medida de reparación por los hechos ocurridos’’, destacó.
El CNMH registró más de 62 iniciativas expositivas y de diálogo con las organizaciones de víctimas a nivel territorial y virtual. En el marco del Mecanismo no Judicial de Contribución a la Verdad y la Memoria Histórica, el centro certificó, acopió y sistematizó 14.144 testimonios que hacen parte de los 11 informes sobre el fenómeno paramilitar publicados en los últimos tres años.
“Durante esta administración le entregamos a la ciudadanía la biblioteca más robusta del fenómeno paramilitar. Hemos logrado detectar con nuestros investigadores 39 estructuras paramilitares en todo el país; adelantamos 62 iniciativas de memoria; desarrollamos la aplicación móvil del Archivo de los de los Derechos Humanos; y, lo más importante, podemos mostrar el avance de la obra del Museo de la Memoria, que quedará como legado eterno a las víctimas del conflicto armado”, expresó el director del CNMH, Darío Acevedo Carmona.
