Chaudière Falls, Ottawa - Mìwà te sound-and-light show – In the Algonquin language, Mìwà te means 'dazzled by a light or fire. This show is designed as a tribute to Indigenous people and was created in collaboration with the Algonquins of Pikwà kanagà n First Nation (although there is some controversy regarding the use of this sacred site for this purpose). The lights illuminating the falls were accompanied by a 'soundscape' which included drumming, melodic chanting and whispers of Aboriginal youth reciting in Anishinaabe, the language of the Algonquin people.
