Op deze sombere en regenachtige zaterdag werd er toch maar even naar de Angertalbahn (D) gegaan voor de zaterdagse beladen kalktrein. Er was gemeld dat hij vandaag met BR 294 zou rijden. En tegen 12u45 kondigde hij zich aan met de typhoon. Terwijl het maar bleef regenen passeert hier DBC 294 669 door het zeer fraaie slingerende traject en bosrijk gebied in Eggerscheidt (D). Vanaf hier gaat hij naar Duisburg-Wedau (D) daar neemt DBC 189 hem over. En vanaf daar gaat het naar eindbestemming Beverwijk (NL)

Aanvankelijk zou zaterdag 28 november maar een sombere dag worden. De voorspellingen vorige week maandag deden geen hoop krijgen. Echter woensdag veranderden de voorspellingen bijster snel en zouden we zaterdag in het ganse land zon krijgen. Al snel kwam ik tot het plan om naar lijn 36 te gaan. Er zouden immers omleidingen zijn wegens buitendienstelling van lijn 35. Nog laat vrijdagavond veranderde ik mijn plan. Lijn 36 zou toch niet zo interessant zijn en bovendien was lijn 50a ook buiten dienst gesteld. Lijn 73 en een stuk van lijn 66 zouden dit weekend een hele hoop treinen te verwerken krijgen. Zowel de IC tussen Brugge en Gent en vice versa, alle cargo zou via lijn73 omrijden.
's Morgens vroeg was ik al vroeg uit de veren om de eerste treinen in de mist op foto te zetten. Zowel Lineas als DB lieten zich zien maar het was nog te vroeg om deze eerste 2 treinen te fotograferen met goed licht. Tegen de middag waren er nog maar 2 13'en gepasseerd richting binnenland en 2 goederentreinen richting zee. De 2 vetste cargo's van de dag waren nog onderweg! Vooraleer deze laatste voorbij kwamen moest de tijd natuurlijk nuttig besteed worden. Dat verhaal doe ik later wel nog eens. Uiteindelijk werd het 15h en was de eerst met-class-gesleepte trein binnen handbereik. Na een rit van meer dan 5uur lang, passeert de Rheinhausen-shuttle uit Montzen de 2 verkleumde fotografen. De eerste winterkou liet zich immers al van 's morgensvroeg voelen! Waar wat waren we blij met de foto! Hierna zou HSL nog komen, dus heet werd nog even volhouden.
Deze trein rijdt normalerwijs via Essen grens(Nl.) maar de Traxx die deze trein tot in Antwerpen zou brengen viel helaas in panne. Hierdoor moest deze containertrein weggesleept worden via Duitsland. Vrijdagnacht kwam deze trein dan België binnen en strande in Montzen. Zaterdagochtend om 10uur zou de rit als 60246 verder gezet kunnen worden tot in Zeebrugge CSP. Nog eens 6uur later - we zijn ondertussen 16u - werd de eindbestemming Zeebrugge uiteindelijk bereikt.

Zo somber als 2022 begon, zo lekker is maart qua weer tot nu toe. Helaas sluiten de "weeragenda" en de werkagenda niet altijd naadloos op elkaar aan, maar op woensdag 9 maart kon ik er toch nog even op uit trekken. Er werd wederom gehoopt op een aantal mooie omleiders op de Twente-route wegens de stremming op de Betuweroute. De afgelopen keren was het aardig druk in Twentre, maar deze dag was het met name 's middags erg rustig. Toch werden er zes goederentreinen goed voor de zon gefotografeerd.
's Ochtends werden stekken bij Holten, Notter en Wierden bezocht. In Wierden zag ik nog net op tijd de melding van de DB 193 366 "Einziganders" (nog dank daarvoor!!) en werd snel richting Zenderen gereden. Vlak daarvoor kwam Metrans nog door met een omgeleide containertrein. Hier zien we de Metrans 386 038-4 met Praag-shuttle in de buurt van Wierden passeren.

Somber times here in the UK, after the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth 2 - between the multi-channel TV reportage and mobile updates I went down the garden looking for some color in the darkness....
De sombere honingzwam (Armillaria ostoyae) is een schimmel die behoort tot de familie Physalacriaceae. Het is een plaatjeszwam met manchet. De paddenstoel komt vaak in bundels voor op stam en wortelbasis van loof- en naaldbomen op zandgronden. Het is een parasiet, die op levende bomen witrot veroorzaakt. De boom zal hierdoor sterven.
Kenmerken
Hoed
De hoed is stomp en kegelvormig en kan een diameter bereiken van 4-20 cm. De kleur is vleeskleurig- tot roodbruin met donkerbruine, vezelige schubben. De hoedrand is lichter, gestreept en doorschijnend en heeft velumresten.
Lamellen
De lamellen zijn vleeskleurig.
Steel
De steel heeft een lengte van 6-15 cm en een dikte van 1-3 cm en bevat net als de hoed schubben. De steel heeft een duidelijke witte ring (manchetkraagje). Onder de ring is de steel vezelig en bevat schubben.

Op deze sombere herfstdag maar even naar Midden-Limburg gegaan. Tegen half 12 passeerde er vanuit richting Sittard deze 2 locs onderweg naar Venlo! Terwijl het gelukkig nog steeds droog was passeerde er rond 14u vanuit Venlo DBS 6414 + DBS 6413 met de beladen schroottrein >48553 onderweg naar Sittard! Daar zullen ze worden overgenomen door 2 x DBS 6500! En vandaar gaat het via Visé (B) naar eindbestemming Genk goederen eveneens in België.
Teilhard would tell us that Jesus has come to Earth to present God’s vision or dream for creation. The Beatitudes should inspire every human person to play his or her part in this transformation of the world, no matter what their situation. All these forgotten and mistreated people are clearly part of the divine vision of the kingdom. It is an evolutionary vision. Jesus is proposing a goal, a divine objective, toward which all are called to aim their lives and life purposes.
When God’s own way of loving begins to emerge and be practiced by human beings, especially by the poor and the forgotten, we will have witnessed the truth of this powerful sermon. While we continue to interpret the Beatitudes in the traditional way, the forgotten ones will never hear Jesus’s call to use their loving action to change the world...

First, Jesus tells the crowd that, by their loving actions toward all those they meet, they can be the “salt” that gives the distinctive flavor to the emerging kingdom of God and to Jesus’s work on Earth. Second, their loving actions can be the “light” that attracts others to join the divine work...
... to enlist in Jesus’s loving team requires not only a “change of mindset” (metanoia) but also a “change of state” (metamorphosis). It’s like changing from a caterpillar to a butterfly. Instead of continuing to see oneself as poor and powerless, one sees oneself as an active agent working on God’s project.
