The seeing was marginal and Jupiter was only about 30 degrees up for the 2010 photo, (about 10pm local).

Mars is tiny right now. Diameter is about 6.1 arc minutes. This one was shot with my 8 inch SCT at F/33. It will be getting larger until opposition on Jan 29 2010.
