Poor seeing, (again), could not use a barlow. 8" F/6 Newtonian.

Notice how far the Moon has moved relative to Venus and Jupiter from the day before.

Uranus, as part of a scale model for the Solar system. It's similar to the one found in Helsinki with the "sun" in Pajamäki.

A close up view of sun spot AR2645, captured using a QHY5-III 290C attched to an Altair Wave 115ED with the addition of a Televue 2x Powermate and AstroZap Solar Filter.

This is cool. You walk around the parks hiking path and the planets are laid out to scale. It really gives you a sense of how huge the solar system is, and the relative sizes of the planets and the distances between them!

8" Newtonian at F/6. Video stacked and processed with RegiStax.

Here's Torben with the Earth. Note how much smaller it is than the sun, which I was standing by in the previous photo. (You can see the sun 'way off in the distance.)

Snazzy thing I created from NASA imagery

Shortlisted in Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2013 :)

Image of jupiter with 1 moon visible which is also shadowed near the red spot... Made using over 2000 frames of video stacked in registax 6 and processed in photoshop cs5.
