Under the Central Karakoram National Park (CKNP) project, funded by Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, 143,800 plantations have been made through the installation of 30 Hydraulic Ram Pumps, 38 Solar Water Lifting Pumps, 28 Solar Drying Units and 38 Green House Tunnels. These technological interventions have positively impacted the livelihoods of 22 villages in Gilgit-Baltistan. The operational and management plans of Central Karakoram Park and Deosai National Park are also being formulated under this project.

These are my first operating solar panels at the Ranleigh Redoubt. This one is hung vertically, and probably misses some good midday sun as a result. These panels power our Christmas lights this year. I hope to measure their power output soon.
Update 2.5 years later: No measurement, but by comparison to my 1 W panel these must be less than 0.5 W in noonday full sun.
