That bank of tubes running diagonally out of the house is the water heater. Those are vacuum tubes with a wire runing through the center. The wire heats up from the sun, and the vacuum is there as an insulator. The wire then runs to the water and heats it up. better have a backup though, as you're not going to have any hot showers on rainy days otherwise!
