Annular solar eclipse observed through a curtain. Each ring represents the eclipse. Also shown is the original curtain (source of the images) on the left. There is a lamp holder at the center on the wall where you see the images (please expand the picture to see the rings clearly). The eclipse was seen in Japan on 21st, May 2012.
Wire bookshelf, clear plastic 1 mil mattress cover with holes taped, Reflectex. Soil is moistened 24 hours before, then put into 1 mil black trash bags and sealed tight. Mattress cover is held tight over bookshelf with clothes pins. The Reflectex is about one foot behind the shelf, and underneath. The shelf is rotated to face noon solar azimuth.
Solar Energy Panels are photovoltaic devices usually made up of semiconductor silicon and they are Renewable Energy Resources of which they used to produce electricity from direct sunlight.

The Uterne 1MW solar power station has been built in Alice Springs
and was developed in partnership between SunPower Corporation and
Power and Water Corporation.
The $6.6 million power station was supported by $3.3 million in funding
from the Australian Government as part of its $94 million Solar Cities
program. It is the third iconic project to be installed in Alice Springs
and when fully commissioned, will be the largest tracking solar power
station in Australia.
The plant consists of 3,048 ultra-efficient SunPower mono-crystalline
panels installed across 254 tracking arrays. The tracking arrays are
bedded into precast Ballasted Footing. The footing are 32 MPa concrete
moulds at a minimum of 2,400 kg to ensure support of the solar
panels.
EPC’s BarChip Structural Synthetic Fibre was chosen as the primary
reinforcement in the Ballasted Footings. BarChip fibres provided
superior crack resistance during installation of the panels and removed
the need to transport and set up steel reinforcement in the concrete
moulds.
Solar Eclipse on May 20th, 2012, McKinney, TX. Full eclipse occurred in Lubbock, TX, 350 miles west of Dallas. I took a few shots of the partial eclipse during an afternoon walk through the neighborhood.

Our 3-acre, solar photovoltaic system offsets 75% of the winery's energy usage in Paso Robles.This is what the panels look like at 2:30 in the afternoon.
This was a solar CD reflector concept I tried to build, but it didn't work really as I expected. I'll try to see how it can be useful though, as it reflects the solar light in the central axis of the prop, but it doesn't have 1 focal point. And initially that's what I was trying to achieve: 1 focal point.

This picture was taken from the Solar, a fancy bar at the 17th floor. I was there with my friend Miriam. The panoramic view is so interesting because the city is mainly plain and doesn't have many skyscrapers. It reminded me the Unique Hotel, in São Paulo
I'll be looking for more images from this Solar bar, I really want to find more about the sunset there. Meanwhile I recommend you to check out their website
