we were out last night, I had a Roxy day today and I'm now tired. I've started to catch up and will do a little more, but will be asleep before I complete! So back tomorrow evening . . .

Made in England in 1933, a Bakelite medium format camera, with a very distinctive sunburst motif on the back. Plus, a basket weave pattern on the body.

The first area called Chinatown was located in Limehouse in the East End of London. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Chinese population of London concentrated in that area, establishing businesses that supported the Chinese sailors who frequented Docklands.
The current Chinatown, on Shaftesbury Avenue in London, did not begin to settle until the 1970s. Until then, this was part of the Soho area.
the slow lingering death of soho continues unabated. soon it will be just another bland, soulless district of london with nothing but food stalls. progress 21st century style, you can keep it thanks!

Almost all of SoHo is included in the SoHo–Cast Iron Historic District, which was designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1973, extended in 2010, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1978. It consists of 26 blocks and approximately 500 buildings, many of them incorporating cast-iron architectural elements. Many side streets in the district are paved with Belgian blocks.
