Have you ever heard of Gnu/Linux operating system? If not, it is is a Unix-like computer operating system assembled under the model of free and open source software development and distribution.
In short, an operating system which is free as freedom, where you can tweak it to something that very personal, and free as a free beer, well, most of it.
Ah, and yes, the mascot of the kernel, the brain of an operating system is Tux, the Penguin.
we ordered a baked potatoe but wouldn't want any dressings. but the software of the ordering system wouldn't provide that, so hidden in some subsubnavigation there was "potatoe, with no options". still sounds odd to me.

Another image taken in my home town of Whitstable.
Whitstable is a seaside town in Northeast Kent, Southeast England. It is approximately 8 kilometres north of the city of Canterbury and approximately 3 kilometres west of the seaside town of Herne Bay. It is part of the City of Canterbury district and has a population of about 30,000.
Whitstable is famous for its oysters, which have been collected in the area since at least Roman times. The town itself dates back to before the writing of the Domesday Book. Whitstable's distinctive character is popular with tourists, and its maritime heritage is celebrated with the annual oyster festival. Freshly caught shellfish are available throughout the year at several seafood restaurants and pubs in the town.
In 1830 one of the earliest passenger railway services was opened by the Canterbury and Whitstable Railway Company, and in 1832 the company opened Whitstable harbour and extended the line to enable passage to London from the port. The railway has since closed but the harbour still plays an important role in the town's economy.

Apache Cordova (previously known as Phonegap) has emerged as one of the most important hybrid (native-html/javascript) cross platform mobile application development environment. The goal of this meetup is to present the basic architecture of Cordova/Phonegap in iOS and demonstrate its capabilities by creating a simple application in HTML/Javascript and then deploy it to a mobile device as a native application. We will also discuss the resources available to learn how to develop applications in Cordova/Phonegap. If time permits, we will review a simple Cordova/Phonegap plugin that I developed to extract information from an iTunes library.
