Submitted for Active Assignment Weekly: Environmental Portraits

Portraits of people in their natural environments have gained in popularity over the past few years. These environmental portraits are a refreshing change from the common sterile studio shots, in my opinion anyway, and they are showing up everywhere from family photo albums to corporate newsletters.

WIT: On my daily constitutional I saw these young guys working at the sod farm. I clicked several times and got a couple of OK candid shots, and as if he could read my mind, this young college student (who I know enough to nod hello to) looked up at me and gave me this unbelievably charming smile. I went over to talk to these young guys to explain to them what I was up to. Anyway, I think I have now entered into a verbal contract with this young man to the effect that if I receive any money for this photo, I have to share it with him! So, do I get any money for this? (-;

Today's lighting was overcast but bright and it seemed to wash the colours out, so I colour boosted this shot and cropped it.
