This is a painting which hangs in the public bar of the White Hart Hotel in Salisbury, Wiltshire. I was struck by the look of despair on the subjects face. Hence the title.

I sodded our small back yard yesterday and decided to set up the time-lapse thing again to see the results. Instant green lawn! Let's just hope it stays that way.
Fun things to watch for: the shadows moving across the ground on the right side and the maple tree "helicopter" seeds pile up on the new grass.
On our travels in NZ we saw a few sod cottages. The others were under the care of the National Trust and had been restored to their original condition. They were all built around 1860. This one was the first we saw that wasn't restored but almost complete. Somewhere on the road between Milton and Alexandra. This one also uses shist which is common in that area.

* removing the fence and post using the "Spot Removal" tool in PS.
* replacing the hidden window using copy and paste
* adding a grunge texture
* adjusting the tone
