The simplified health history on this 1-page application lists more than a dozen possible warning flags for one or all currently offered, FDA-approved, vaccines for Covid-19. Personal identification and contact details go on the top, signature and date on the bottom. In-between are the screening questions. Upon presenting yourself and vaccine card from initial vaccination against Covid, the person asks for preference about which arm to use for the injection and also asks for brand of vaccine preferred, since each has slightly difference history and basis. Recommendations made in October 2021 were for Moderna and Pfizer recipients to wait 6 months after initial set of vaccinations before coming back for booster (1/2 the volume of the initial injection dose). For Jansen the recommendation is to wait 2 months from (single-dose formulation) before coming back for booster dose. Both P. and M. were derived by using the mRNA (messenger RNA) route, the newest technique. Jansen used the older method of "virus vector" to create a profile for the body to activate its immune response in a safe way.
For the first few weeks of the booster campaign the priority was on health care and other high-risk populations like elderly (weaker immune response, usually) and immuno-compromised people. But with the advent of the Omicron variant late in November 2021 now the booster (and initial vaccination) campaign encourages ALL eligible people to get full vaccination, followed by booster.

Today I am going food shopping. I'm going alone. Normally there are 2 or 3 of us.
We have decided that it is best to buy more, less often. This will reduce our exposure - and stress.
Slightly nervous to be honest - can I get what we need? Will there be a large queue? Will I get stares for buying a lot of food (we are a family of 5)?
Social distancing signs have appeared since last time I was here. There was no queue when I arrived.

So much has changed so quickly. We now live in a world dominated by some virus that's been reported as deadly. California's and New Yorker's have been told to stay inside and practice social distancing when in public.
These are some pictures I snaped while walking my dogs each day

I thank every person for their service. May is the month of Capital TransPride and I am especially thankful that every human can serve, because they are human.
And, it's good to see you alive and well.

The room marked "consultation" has two overstuffed chairs so that a person can sit with preferred injection arm away from the wall and within easy reach of the pharmacist. In some cases, people from the same home can enter the room together; all parties in face masks. The big red syringe disposal bin stands next to the waste receptacle now filled with disposable gloves, alcohol swabs, adhesive bandage wrappers, and heart-shaped "I got vaccinated" sticker backing material. Perhaps future archaeologists who unearth this layer of debris will know that a surge in public health response took place around this time in the flow of history, not only in west Michigan, but around the planet; although the distribution and making of vaccines and related injection gear is very unevenly spread around the world.

April 17: Where I Drink My Coffee
This is my current weekday coffee drinking spot. Somehow I inherited Caleb's old child-size desk chair. It's horribly uncomfortable and I'm in need of an upgrade.
The government has taken over our lives in ways we would have never imagined. First they claimed we would have to "stay at home" and "stay safe at home", until they "flattened the curve", then the goal post was moved to "we must stay inside until we get a vaccine". Then pompous NY Governor Cuomo told his constituents to stay home, don't go out, shouted for ventilators on and on he went. A recent report shows that those infected and dying in NYS were people that stayed at home, were retired or unemployed. That group was affected by Covid 19 more than anyone else in that state, 66%, to be exact. Winston Churchill once said, "No crisis should go to waste". Will our politicians take advantage of this crisis to fundamentally change our freedoms and way of life. Will they use this crisis to further their financial enrichment? There are signs this is already happening. They are arresting people that open their businesses, they send in Police SWAT Teams to close down beaches, parks and parties at private homes. Mayor Lightfoot in Chicago said she would arrest anyone that had a party.
And just prior to this massive government overreach, Senators Burr, Feinstein, Inhofe and possibly others dumped millions of dollars in investments shortly before the recent market crash. They did so after receiving daily briefings on the Covid 19 health threat. How have these people achieved political office? That's a question all Americans have to grapple with after Covid 19 is gone.
