Marley with paws up, sleeping in a twisted pretzel-like position with not a care in the world, enjoying the coveted cat bed in the windowsill retreat...it doesn’t get much better than this. Pandemic? Who cares...social distancing on the windowsill all day long.
we must screen everything this year...friends, family, what we touch, expression of feelings, fake information, plagues of insects and disease, screening for temperature...and so much more
The edge of day...Chasing the light in the woodland forest, following the path towards the setting sun. Francis/King Regional Park, Saanich, Vancouver Island, BC.
Francis King Regional Park is a 107-hectare park, nestled in rural Saanich. The woodland park is home to massive old growth forest including magnificent 500-year-old Douglas-fir trees. There is a vast network of woodland walking and hiking trails as well as a boardwalk loop trail for those with mobility issues, an ideal place for visitors of all abilities to explore nature.
One of our clients has the world's cutest Scottish Fold cat named Moose. She gave me permission to post this photo she took of her mother, her two little boys and Moose.
Moose's grandmother is an ICU nurse working on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic but stopped by her daughter's home to draw a portrait of Moose on the pavement for her grandsons. I think this is one of the most touching photos taken during the pandemic of love and social distancing.

Not the peak night...but we'll be out there tonight. I started my intervalometer early and Jeff changed out my battery around 2 am. This was from about 9pm to 4 am. Tonight should be amazing.
Fiona's latest work follows in her well established style of three dimensional works using brush painting techniques, walk through worlds that encourage you to look carefully and from many angles.
Chuanghu is a departure, as well, for the artist. Instead of the light, open, natural scenes of her previous works, this has a dark, dense and urban feel to it, with movement (both the work and the avatars within it) that pulls you deep inside. But it also encourages whimsy, in the animations and poses she has placed throughout the space, and the many windows encouraging you to look through and frame what she has painted.

I'll have a number of other photos from the work soon.
