Bury all your secrets in my skin

Come away with innocence, and leave me with my sins

The air around me still feels like a cage

And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage again...

So if you love me, let me go.

And run away before I know.

My heart is just too dark to care.

I can't destroy what isn't there.

Deliver me into my fate -

If I'm alone I cannot hate

I don't deserve to have you...

My smile was taken long ago

If I can change I hope I never know

I still press your letters to my lips

And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss

I couldn't face a life without your lights

But all of that was ripped apart when you refused to fight

So save your breath, I will not hear.

I think I made it very clear.

You couldn't hate enough to love.

Is that supposed to be enough?

I only wish you weren't my friend.

Then I could hurt you in the end.

I never claimed to be a saint...

Hello my dears!! ^.^ I hope you are thrilled and impressed by this photo as I have enjoyed doing it. I’ve clearly tried to build on one of the scenes with Amanda Bear from the famous Saw Saga.

I wanted to convey a dirty and agonizing touch in the photo, to portray the scene as similar as possible, all wearing the new LANEVO mask, which does not lack any detail.

As always. I hope with emotion that you like it. A big hug!! <3

Don't worry hay fever sufferers. The sneezeweed got its lousy common name because the dried leaves of the plant were once used to make a type of snuff that made people sneeze in order to rid their bodies of evil spirits. Like the goldenrod, it does NOT make you sneeze! This one was photographed in the La Crosse River marsh.

Xylaria hypoxylon is a species of fungus in the genus Xylaria. It is known by a variety of common names, such as the candlestick fungus, the candlesnuff fungus, carbon antlers, or the stag's horn fungus. The fruit bodies, characterized by erect, elongated black branches with whitened tips, typically grow in clusters on decaying hardwood. The fungus can cause a root rot in hawthorn and gooseberry plants.

Morden Hall. The old mill that ground snuff back in the day.

S is the first letter of my first name and I chose snuff bottles as they are fascinating little (typically 1 to 2 inches in height) objects to hold in the hand and collect, and they reflect my Chinese background too. They can be made from so many different kinds of materials; the one on the left is Peking glass while the other two are bone or horn.

Lycoperdon perlatum

Lycoperdon perlatum, popularly known as the common puffball, warted puffball, gem-studded puffball or devil's snuff-box, is a species of puffball fungus in the family Agaricaceae. A widespread species with a cosmopolitan distribution, it is a medium-sized puffball with a round fruit body tapering to a wide stalk, and dimensions of 1.5 to 6 cm (5⁄8 to 2+3⁄8 in) wide by 3 to 10 cm (1+1⁄8 to 3+7⁄8 in) tall. It is off-white with a top covered in short spiny bumps or "jewels", which are easily rubbed off to leave a netlike pattern on the surface. When mature it becomes brown, and a hole in the top opens to release spores in a burst when the body is compressed by touch or falling raindrops.

Common puffball, releasing spores in a burst by compressing the body

The puffball grows in fields, gardens, and along roadsides, as well as in grassy clearings in woods. It is edible when young and the internal flesh is completely white, although care must be taken to avoid confusion with immature fruit bodies of poisonous Amanita species. L. perlatum can usually be distinguished from other similar puffballs by differences in surface texture. Several chemical compounds have been isolated and identified from the fruit bodies of L. perlatum, including sterol derivatives, volatile compounds that give the puffball its flavor and odor, and the unusual amino acid lycoperdic acid. Extracts of the puffball have antimicrobial and antifungal activities.

Light painting on black glass.

Woody, the seasoned candle snuffer moved through the holiday tableau. His slender arm, adorned with brass elegance, glided gracefully, capping each flickering wick. With a soft touch, he hushed the dancing flames, casting a tranquil spell upon the festive scene. Amidst the laughter and joy, he moved, a silent guardian, quelling the luminous spirits into slumber. Each extinguished candle whispered gratitude, their scented remnants mingling with the air, a sweet farewell to the night. In this nightly ritual, Woody wove a tapestry of serenity, a symphony of quietude amid the holiday revelry, where each doused flame signaled dreams taking flight.

The date stone on the Snuff Mill Bridge says 1624, but it is generally believed to have been built in the 18th century, re-using some stones from an earlier bridge. The bridge was for many years part of the main route between Glasgow and Ayrshire. It was closed to traffic in 1924, but is still used by pedestrians and it remains a popular spot for artists and walkers with the baronial Lindsay Tenement on the left and the Old Mill on the right divided by The Snuff Mull Bridge in the middle……..who could blame them.

I was taken aback when this lovely woman and her friends offered me a snort of snuff. I passed but she was gracious enough to still pose for me.
