We cannot "heal" until every treasonous tyrant is held accountable. New information is coming out every day that this insurrection was far more violent than anyone realized with people having specific targets of congressional leaders as well as VP Mike Pence that they wanted to assassinate to re-install Trump in power. People may ask why impeach now? The answer is pretty clear:
"If a president is impeached, convicted, and removed from office, they lose many of the benefits awarded to former presidents, such as a pension, security detail, and travel allowance. A president who is removed from office via impeachment may also be barred from holding future office."
The violent white supremacists on Wed, should be held accountable as should every lawmaker who encouraged the incitement of violence. We cannot allow people who swore an oath to the constitution and refused to abide by that oath to continue to hold power and somehow represent Democracy. No, that will not stand, and no we will not heal without accountability.

One of my contacts questioned the calendar photo. This was in an e-mail I recieved and I did not check it out.
Each day of the week falls four times in February 2017 — but that won’t be the first time that’s happened in 823 years.
In fact, each day of the week fell four times in February 2016. That’s because each day of the week falls four times in February every six years, and twice in a row every 11 years.
That means each day fell four times in February 2016, it happened again in February 2017, and it will happen again in February 2023, making claims about it happens every 823 years false.
Thanks to Truth or Fiction.

I remember hearing this one a ton as a child - that drivers eating Vanilla Ice Cream would have stalled cars. We had a family friend growing up who's dad would always order chocolate because he said he didn't want to have to push the car home. Then he'd just laugh because I think we all knew it was pretty ridiculous. Looking back, I'm pretty sure he just really liked chocolate and was making fun of all of us for believing the thing. We were gullible children.
Additionally, I really really like ice cream. Just in case you didn't know. Silly how ice cream is one of the many things that makes me very happily divorced. While married, I wasn't allowed to buy ice cream because I didn't "eat it fast enough". Apparently, leaving ice cream in the freezer to be, well, frozen, for too long was UNACCEPTABLE. One of the many "not allowed"s that makes me happy to be single.
Because a world without ice cream is just ALL KINDS OF WRONG.

Fifth one of this diurnal series (I believe remains two of this one) is another colouring corner with fantastic ocean views, another place to stop and contemplated up to the minimal detail. Of this corner/house I did not found any history but I'm sure that, as the whole Valparaiso, is full of them.

Volvemos a España.
Espectacular, ¿no?
Gracias y un abrazo.
Dear Flickr-Friends: in 8 days we're leaving Chile. Our time in the trasandian country comes to its end. We're returning back to Spain by end of month.
In these days, I am going to upload some "filed" pictures and some new in order to make a 4 or 5 photos "goodbye series". I hope you like them.
I took this Reñaca's photo the same day that this one (probably you remember it), but though I decided by the one showing principally the resort, I always wanted to upload this one showing whole coast and especially Valparaiso in its entirety. The reflection on the sky is from Naval School of Valparaiso. Spectacular, isn't?
Thank you and a big hug for all of you!
Just goes to show how easy it is to make FAKE NEWS....just a couple of photos and Photoshop, imagine what professionals can do with the most up to date technology. We all need to be careful these days and not believe everything we see or read, depressing and disturbing world we live in.
Here is a good example, although amazingly creative this video too is a fake ....
“I imagined a labyrinth of labyrinths, a maze of mazes, a twisting, turning, ever-widening labyrinth that contained both past and future and somehow implied the stars . . . I felt myself, for an indefinite while, the abstract perceiver of the world."
– Jorge Luis Borges
(NOTE: The photograph was take one hundred years ago. The man in the blue shirt is my paternal grandfather, standing in front of the neighborhood grocery store in Corinth, Mississippi, that he owned. It seems to me that the entrance to the labyrinth lies here.)
Information on the subject:
I thought this was the most unusual thing I saw on the Alaskan cruise in the water. These two bodies of water were merging in the middle of the Alaskan gulf and there was a foam developing only at their junction.
I thought this was an example of a Halocline described on Wikipedia. A few people have commented that a Halocline is more of a horizontal phenomenon and this is more vertically oriented.
I am pretty confident that what you are seeing is a result of the melting glaciers being composed of fresh water and the ocean has a higher percentage of salt causing the two bodies of water to have different densities and therefore makes it more difficult to mix. I'm told they will eventually mix given enough time.
People have asked me if I just happened to look out over the edge of the ship deck and see this. Actually I had been on the deck for quite some time when I noticed what appeared to be a shadow cast by clouds over the ocean about 5 miles in front of the ship. As we approached the shadow I realized it was something different. I took many shots up to the point I shot this one, but never posted them until a year after this image went viral. I really posted them to convince people I did not Photoshop this image. See the other shots here.
Information on the photograph and high view count:
On January 20, 2011, this image was viewed 71,000 times in one day. That was more times than all my other photos, sets, collections, and photostream for the 18 months prior to that date and on that date this photo was not even registered as my most interesting according to Flickr. You can see them here in my other most interesting photos according to Flickr.
On September 20, 2011, this image went through another viral surge and was viewed 177,456 times that one day, almost 50% of the total number of views it had seen since I first posted it. The following day it only saw 98,285 views. And by the 3rd day it was back to it's prior daily view level of about 500-1000 views per day.
On September 22, 2011, I was asked by Yahoo News if they could use the photo on their images of the week pages. news.yahoo.com/photos/snapshots-week-of-june-3-1307133161...
If you want to read about this amazing high view count phenomenon see this link with the details.
The original site to start all the craziness was Tumblr and as of Jan 22, 2011, the number of comments on Tumblr alone was over 6,400. On March 7, 2011 Tumblr recorded 24,546 likes, comments, and rebloggs. As of Dec 23, 2011 16:00 the Tumblr notes were over 58,000 and climbing about 75 per minute.
The interestingness finally changed and on Jan 22, 2011 this photo was up to #23 in my photostream. As of February 13, 2011, it is up to #20. You can view all of them with a black background and they look much more impressive. As of February 12, 2011, it hit 100,000. On April 2 it hit 200,000 views with 352 favorites and 3 galleries.
In April 2012, the image reached 750,000 views and reached 1,000 favorites. On August 30, 2012 it hit 800,000 with 1,085 favorites and 10 gallery entries.
The AlaskaDispatch ran an article by Ben Anderson on February 5, 2013, discussing this phenomenon and linked back to this page referencing the large number of views it has seen. You can read Ben's article here.
On November 20, 2013, Hoax or Fact reported this was the 7th most viewed of the articles on their site www.hoaxorfact.com/Most-Read.html
In early December, in honor of the image crossing 1,000,000 views I created a Merging Oceans Facebook page just for fun. Technically the view count crossed 1 million on December 11, 2013, but a problem with Flickr view count froze all views that day and did not continue counting lifetime views until December 12. That afternoon it showed the 1 million view crossing. People have commented that Flickr changed the view count system a while ago and made views arbitrarily higher than in the past, not necessarily related to the actual views, but this image has seen a pretty constant run of views per day since it first went viral, long before the view count system change.

I don't know at this point if it is clear enough :)) ... but by means of my company assignment in Chile (15 months now a days), I have remained tremendously fascinated by Valparaiso and its color variety. Although I have already shared with you some corner more, they never stops surprising me.
Another fascinating thing is Wikipedia. The quantity of information that it is possible to find is immense and you always discover something interesting.
Today I wanted to know origin of Valparaíso name and this is what I've found "Valparaíso’s bay was first populated by Changos, an ethnic group dedicated to fishing and gathering. Spanish explorers arrived in 1536, on the Santiaguillo, a ship sent by Diego de Almagro, considered the first European explorer of Chile. The Santiaguillo carried men and supplies for Almagro’s expedition, under the command of Juan de Saavedra, who named the town after his native village of Valparaíso de Arriba in Cuenca, Spain."
It is curious, isn't?

Last night checking photos I took those two days I visited Valparaiso to previous series, I kept watching this one for awhile. I love street art when it is well made and here I consider that it is so. I think that there council town or wall owner will come not thinking the same and will make it erase. So this is my way of leaving witness of this good art before it disappears. As major part of this photo series, it is taken in the Artists Hill. I hope you like it.

From high above in a helicopter, the entire length of Victoria Falls is visible, with the wide Zambezi river to the left flowing over the mile long crack in the earth, flowing down the canyon and under the bridge at top right. The water flow was relatively low when we visited in the winter dry season. After the rains, almost the whole length of the giant fissure would be covered in a torrent of water, and the sky filled with "the smoke that thunders."
Zambia is to the top and left, Zimbabwe to the right.
