Oh what a night it was in the land of Swirl’n mic Mad-ness! As Swirve started their jazzy madness, the crowd found their way to the stage with their heads boppin’ and their fingers snappin’. As the last notes were fading away, hosts Johnny O & Chris Zimmerly got the show goin’ with an introduction of Texas Beat poet PW Covington! PW took us on down the roads that only he knows and goes to. Did’a miss it? But no worries, you can still view it on our Mad Swirl UStream channel.
After a brief intermission, the mic got opened up to the mad ones who filled the Lounge. And what a night of the beat-utifullest poetry and music ensued! Here’s a shout out to all who graced us with their words, their songs, their divine madnesses…

Classes went by pretty fast today, leaving me with the last 3 hours to do some major web design fun time stuff (look back in my photostream to see some of it). I'm redesigning my high school's website for a New Media project, and figuring I'm happy enough with the design, I think I'll submit it to someone at school as a suggestion. I heard they're hiring someone for just that position... why do I still have to be stuck in Freshman year when an opportunity like this comes up??? Lol...
Props to Moll-moll for snappin' this one... maybe now you'll believe me how easily stuff goes out of focus at 1.8... haha.
The day prior I spotted this from the other side of the interstate and weather was much more accommodating. Although the haze set in and the flurries came the windmills were still visible. As I was in the field on the side of the interstate snappin' away IDOT pulled up behind me. oops!

Today, I gave my good friend Saman a little tutorial on how I do white background (ie: High Key) photos. We picked up a bunch of butcher paper, taped it up and started snappin'!
