Miniputz doesn't trust her father, when he was too long away on a construction job, or when he smells like dog.

My cat Signe enjoying the flowers in the garden during summer.

we camped next to it, walked through it and put our noses right up to it...and still couldn't get enough.

Brown Honeyeater (Lichmera indistincta) drops in for breakfast on the Grevillea 'Robyn Gordon' in my Gold Coast hinterland home garden. Another sign that spring is here; these tiny honeyeaters always drop by in the first weeks of September.

“When nothing else subsists from the past, after the people are dead, after the things are broken and scattered...the smell and taste of things remain poised a long time, like souls...bearing resiliently, on tiny and almost impalpable drops of their essence, the immense edifice of memory”

― Marcel Proust

A photo taken 2 years ago but still the prettiest Christmas candles I've seen. (not mine, Roger's Gardens were selling them).

For Smile on Saturday's prompt: "Curious Candles". People are curious to know if I bought one - no. And if they smelled good - yes!

Up close and personal to this lovely rose!

Sage is an extraordinary herb that has many properties depending the on type of sage. This is a white sage used in ceremonial rituals. It has a soothing smell that permeates the entire body, as well as your surroundings. The Native American people use it for purification and protective purposes. They use it for smudging to clear negative energies and also use it in ceremonies of birth and death.
