This little fellow has been sitting on this rose for the past five days. Seems to like it there and doesn't mind getting his picture taken. The petals will fall if in a few days and we'll see where he ends up.
I seasoned a cast iron pan yesterday, and now the house smells oily. These spices simmering on the back burner did the trick. I also wanted to shoot my orange again, before the leaf drops off!

Bought a packet of seeds in the spring, enough to fill about six tubs with clouds of tiny fragrant flowers. Sweet Alyssum fills the garden with a scent a bit like warm honey on a sunny afternoon. A winner with me and also loved by the insects.

Blue Morpho Butterfly (Morpho peleides) at Hershey Gardens
As its common name implies, the blue morpho butterfly’s wings are bright blue, edged with black. The blue morpho is among the largest butterflies in the world, with wings spanning from five to eight inches. Their vivid, iridescent blue coloring is a result of the microscopic scales on the backs of their wings, which reflect light. The underside of the morpho’s wings, on the other hand, is a dull brown color with many eyespots, providing camouflage against predators such as birds and insects when its wings are closed. When the blue morpho flies, the contrasting bright blue and dull brown colors flash, making it look like the morpho is appearing and disappearing. The males’ wings are broader than those of the females and appear to be brighter in color. Blue morphos, like other butterflies, also have two clubbed antennas, two fore wings and two hind wings, six legs and three body segments—the head, thorax and abdomen.
For some time I walked along the deserted port looking for "Life" when, to my amazement, I saw a small bar made of wood with Mexican decorations and a fish stall. There were some "Mojitos" on the bar, as if they had just been made, but what intrigued me was the absence of people in the place, and it occurred to me that something scared the people who were here and they had to flee.
I was tempted to grab one of those delicious looking "Mojitos" and drink it, as the many days I spent sailing the seas of SL left me with almost no food and drink, but I didn't. I didn't know how long they had been there, what they were made of, or what had happened that they were left on the counter.
The fish in the stall were fresh, as if they had just been caught and put up for sale, but on my approach to the harbor I didn't see any fishing boats, not even when I arrived at the harbor. I thought about picking some fish and leaving some Lindens as payment, but I thought the same way I thought about the "Mojitos" and I didn't after all. There was still a lot of sea to sail home and I could always catch some fish on the boat.
The wind was blowing from the West, and it brought me the smell of freshly cooked food, and due to my gastronomic experience of tasting traditional dishes in the ports where I stopped, my nose "told me" that it was Asian food. Almost at the bottom of the harbor I had seen a mini Snack-Bar with illuminated signs. The smell coming from that place activated my HUNGER sensors, my belly was asking for food... so... I decided to walk towards the Snack-Bar to try to eat something... when... I heard a meow not very far from the place where I was and as I approached the meow became more intense... there was no doubt that there... was life in that place.
To be continued...
Song of Solomon 7:12 “We lodge in the villages, we go early to the vineyards, we see if the vine hath flourished, the sweet smelling-flower hath opened. The pomegranates have blossomed, there do I give to thee my love.”
RADCLIFFE: "They don't smell like anything Bernie...
BERNIE: "Yeh... the ones over here are the same Radcliffe"
RADCLIFFE: " I thought they would smell like honey cuz the bees like them... and, bees make honey"....
BERNIE: "Me too Radcliffe ... maybe when they make the honey they add that yellow dust from other flowers too" ...
RADCLIFFE: "That must be it Bernie...I wonder where those other nice smelling flowers are?"
BERNIE: "Let's go look in the front yard"....
"Do the small things of life with a relaxed awareness.
When you are eating, eat totally -
chew totally, taste totally, smell totally.
Touch your bread, feel the texture.
Smell the bread, smell the flavor.
Chew it, let it dissolve into your being."
- Osho

Last Saturday I went to the Wakodahatchee Wetlands, it is a park located in Delray Beach, Florida. The park was created on 50 acres (200,000 m2) of unused utility land and transformed into a recreation wetlands open to the public with a three-quarter mile boardwalk that crosses between open water pond areas, emergent marsh areas, shallow shelves, and islands with shrubs and snags to foster nesting and roosting. The boardwalk has interpretive signage as well as gazebos with benches along the way. Over 151 species of birds have been spotted inside the park, including pied-billed grebe, snowy egrets, and black-bellied whistling ducks. The park is also home to turtles, alligators, rabbits, frogs, and raccoons.

Caught him smelling the air and staring at random spots on the balcony. The sunny morning did the rest!
